Pakistan - Land of the Pure

TPOS โ€”

Embarrassingly, I don't know the history of Pakistan that great detail but what I do know is Mohammad Ali Jinnah fought hard for the separation of India and Pakistan, to create a land for Muslims, to create a pure land. But, I'm sure if he could see what was happening in his country today he would be horrified. It is no longer the land of the pure.

I hate listening to the Asian news. All you hear about is how people are stealing, keeping others hostage, torturing them, murdering, EATING THEM. A lot of the times its their own family who are the victims. It's shocking and sickening. Ignorance is bliss.

But then, I think, some/most of the times the reasons behind all those evil acts is because of money; because most of these people are living in dire conditions, with shortages of food and necesities. That, in no way makes justifies their actions but you find another problem...a corrupt government. A government who seems to be making everything worse, killing more people with the hoarding of products, lack of electricity, lack of sufficient law and order and just being their corrupt selves!

ARGHHH

I can't believe the state of the country :x ๐Ÿ™

And people wonder why we're bad mouthed...

Do you really think that money is going to help the people of Pakistan? They had millionares and billionares running the country.

They are sufficient enough to not have poverty in their country it's just a lack correct governing. Too much corruption going on in Pakistan and many other countries alike.

:\ That may be true.

TPOS โ€” Thu, 7 Apr 2011 - 12:06

I was going to ask, can anyone tell me how much worse off PK is from India? Because India still has loads of slums and poverty etc, but is has a good growing industry - but is it that much better than PK?

Better some money getting through than none at all.

Or the money could be funnelled more directly - you never know.

That's true but why should they at the top take most of it when they don't need it
Zardari has a mansion in surrey UK and Nawaz Sharif has many house's in London and his son Hassan Nawaz has a Business in London
Zardari is known as Mr 10% around the world

On the other hand there are some people in Pakistan who live on $1 day and they have families to feed as well
So why are we bashing those trying to get the money through? Those actions should be applauded.
We all know Cameron is only in it for his own interests. They just want control over what goes on in Pakistan that is all. They have done this in many other countries aswell, they introduce western culture in our muslim countries in an aim to stop Islam from growing.

You โ€” Fri, 8 Apr 2011 - 22:35

Have you ever considered that some of these western practices are more Islamic than many practices in such places?

Education? encouraged in Islam
Work? encouraged in Islam.
Self sufficiency? encouraged in Islam.
communal spirit? encouraged in Islam.
Helping the poor and needy? encouraged in Islam.

There isn't anything in Pakistan that they could take that would be of great value anyway.

LOL (It shouldn't be amusing/laughable, but it is.)

@ Sapphire I know what you mean, but maybe its not THE worst country in the world? I don't really believe it is the only country where such things are happening. The world is too corrupt for that to be true.

Pakistan are capable of acheiving all that without the help of any one else. sure they'll make it look like they're just helping these countries but they're there to try and rid these countries of it's Islamic values.

You'll see soon enough.

You โ€” Sat, 9 Apr 2011 - 13:28

I don't buy into such conspiracies.

Sure Pakistan is capable of all that and more, but have the people been dpoing that? no.

In this case is that more educated people will be less likely to export terrorism to the UK.

I don't have a problem with that.

Foysol89 โ€” Sat, 9 Apr 2011 - 20:58

Hahahahah since when have the West done anything to help others if it didn't benefit themselves? Iraq?Afghanistan?Libya?

It's not about conspiracy theories it's called opening your eyes and seeing things for what they really are, it's common sense to people now that Iraq never had any WMD.

Slowly but surely the unbelievable becomes very believable. By then though it would be too late :/

So what if it also benefits them?

Sometimes good things can be mututally beneficial - its not always a zero sum game where if it benefits someone it also has to harm someone.

TPOS โ€” Sat, 9 Apr 2011 - 22:59

Well if they're under Cameron's big thumb then sure its harming them.
They're just gna try and keep 'The West' happy and do whatever is asked of them, even if its not for the greater good of society.
