nowadays this is a common question asked to muslims living here in the uk....of course its not a right question 2 ask and can be assumed 2 be a very tricky 1 for the muslim youths out there..what are your lots views on this?and what will your reaction be to this question if asked?jazaks

IMO, seriously, i wouldnt put any one over the other. coz in terms of lifestyle i dont live the typical british way nor the paki style. its a pick n mix thing.
i wount put bieng british 1st, coz i do a lot of things the paki way and we implement a lot of cultural stuff in our lives. its important 2 remember where u come from.
with that said, i was born here n raised here n my passport is red.
bieng a muslim is the most important, but then after that i dont really care what im classed as coz it dont matter much 2 me. im a Brit-Paki-Ish-ani

i dont like to abandon my roots, but then again im from here. just take the best of both worlds i would say.
much depends on what it requires to be british. i would work in the interests of society, but i wouldnt pledge my allegiance to an extent that i would die for the queen!
and as for pakistan......well theres a lot of backwardness that we could do without, but then again the brits could learn something from them

I can be Pakistani tho when I choose to be
when me and sis were younger and more immature-we'd "go into Paki mode"
which meant-dressing up in Asian clothes-doing the full works (bangles etc) and then making dad tea and making conversation with the family in Urdu
