Its the new question doing the rounds.

According to this article that is doing the rounds someone was able to decipher the recipe for coke from an old image of a book or something or other.

One of the ingredients listed is alcohol.

Does this make coke haraam?

Decipher? Old image? Shouldnt everything be written down clearly, if not we should be questioning them.

I'm (trying to :oops: ) boycott it so it would be good if it was haram. 😃 😛

The question over ingredients is still open.

The question over ownership of the company is still open too.

Going by such conspiracies, out of a world population of 6.5+ billion people, there would need to be a conspiracy between the jewish population and the jewish population would also need to be of approximately 6.5 billion.

i dont know whether its true or not, but there are alot of doubts when with these companies.

i wasnt laughing at them drinking alcohol but rather at people being ignorant towards avoiding these products. they are constantly being reminded by fellow muslims that we cannot trust these yahuudis

Thats just racist. We are in dispute with the Israelis over the Palestinians, and not much more. Before that was an issue, we were at peace.

Your assentions also do not answer the question over ownership.

You might not know, but back when coke was first made, I doubt there were many Muslims in the markets were coke was initially sold.

depends if its the "gets you drunk" alcohol, or the chemical (nothing to do with wine/bear) alcohol.

anything that has -OH in its chemical structure is an ALCOHOL.

now...what about pepsi? etc...

every organic food/substance will some small trace amount of alcohol in it - wether it is a manufactured product or not (like fruit - they will contain trace amounts naturally.)

That however is different from actually adding alcohol to a products which may or may not be the case with manufactured drinks.

i admit that i do not know for sure that all these companies are owned by who people say they are. i generally agree on these things with the wider muslim majority as i don't know if i can research into every statement that comes out about them.

it has been said for many years that certain companies were supporting israel and i do know that i am capable of verifying this information or not

i am sorry but i didn't mean to come across as racist for i don't hate jews or anyone from any other background. i was talking about a certain group, who are always fighting with the muslims since the dawn of islam.

there are many enemies of Islam so i do not know who u can trust 🙁

They can be.

Ethanol that is used in alcoholic beverages at like 1% concentration or something is an OH. Methonal is poisonous I think. (so is ethanol in larger quantities and concentrations) and there are others, which I suspect are also poisonous.

Naturally, it will also be ethanol, which is also produced in small amounts by the human body.
