*Oh and if it's a picture you wanted, the design is in my head - would be pretty cool if we were able to scan a mental picture though huh?

Jihad of the Nafs (The Struggle of the Soul)

I remember referring to them as tramp stamps once.

Lol thats like something my friend was telling me-somebody got the kalima (or was it some other phrase/Quranic quote?) tatooed. I found it funny they wrote something Islamic and showed their faith by doing something haraam.

Tattoos actually look terrible.

I don't see the attraction.

I can understand temporariness.

But...forever and ever and ever.

I'm sure they can get boring.

Ocean: Tattoos = fun to you? Why?

Ocean wrote:

That's my point too lol wrinkly skin and tattooes show how much FUN you've had when you're young but Muslims are not meant to do that are they? they are to live miserable for EVER.

what the heck does that mean?

How can tattoos be associated with fun?

I can see why people can mistakenly think they look good, but fun?

+1 Maybe they get an adrenaline rush from the needles? lol

"How many people find fault in what they're reading and the fault is in their own understanding" Al Mutanabbi

if tattoos were halal i still wouldn't want one. i dont like the thought of permanently scarring my body, with anything. Plus i dont think they look beautiful.

As for tattoos acting as a reminder of happy days or a certain occasion, well get a diary, take a photo and stick it in there. There's no need to make a tatoo diary on ones body to remember an occasion.

Also i cant see any fun in having a needle engraving the skin, unless an individual is a masochist.
