well, i guess by anything i meant just any kind of illness or ailment. it was recommended by the prophet (pbuh) but its not as 'popular' as i thought it would be if its meant to be so good..

the real pure stuff is quite strong and hurt hte throat. at home we mix it with olive oil ( i think it was) and we drink spoonful every morning.

there's a hadith that it can cure anything except deaht if i remember correctly.

anyway, beats cod liver oil eh?

have never had cold liver oil, but ill take ur word for it! but olive oil, uhhh!! it has such a strong flavour!

ill probably try it soon. not any islamic shops and tht round my area 🙁

I was just saying if it does cure everything, I would think its something that you would find in almost every muslim household no??

i dont think so...its just taste..oilish..and strong..try it. we usually have a spoon of honey after it to help the taste, ive come to like it.

black seed its very good. its oil is also beneficial.
i use it many time for all sorts of illnesses. it cures a lot of diseases. i had meningites and and took black seed for 14 days. all the symptoms were gone. so Prophet (pbuh) was right. it does work.

remember, black seed has got many names such as
KALONJI or KALJEERA, or habbat al-barakah ("seed of blessing") or seyah danay...

i always get it from the local asian cash and carry supermarket.
just go into any such shop in your local area and ask the old man on the till.
he will show you which shelf it is on.
