It is interesting when Imam Zaid Shakir mentions how the Extremist groups (neo Al Qaeda lot) are having few successes and creating a lot of mess because they are not following Islam properly.

"..Islam is not a religion that is amenable to extremism and because of that you don't see Allah (swt) give success to the advocates of extremism, to the advocates of indiscriminate violence, to the advocates of killing civilians. Where are they successful? You just see one mess after another..."

Based on the Abdal Hakim Murad section of this video: If you get depressed b te fate of the muslim community, does that mean you are weak of faith?

"...'the people have ganged up on you, and they said Allah is enough for us... the perfect guardian...' that is the difference... the one who panics, the one that gets freaked out is close to the munafiqeen..."

Interesting Hamza Yusuf quote:
"Above all else, we have to recognise that this religion is not our property. We have no right to detract, to pollute, to sully the good name of islam and the good name of the prophet (saw)..."

Getting depressed is one thing. Headless chicken syndrome is another. Muslims are composed, calm people.
