Im Mauritian. But that doesnt mean much.. Im on the brown side of MAuritian so i might have Indian, Bengali ancestors, or even African ancestors.

but its so mixed.

I have two Mauritius friends. All they ever talk about is Mauritius. Mauritius this and Mauritus that and how the UK will never be as perfect. Must be a nice place?

MAURITIUS IS A HOLIDAY DESTINATION! People go there for their honeymoon! hellyeah its a "nice place"!

Sandy beaches, turquoise sea, a mountain/instinct volcano in the middle, forests, tropical weather.

well..this is mostly what my parents talk about and what i've heard. Last time i went was about 10 years ago...

So i dont know! and i ALWAYS get told off by my mauritian friend for not speaking mauritian/creole. =/

I've only met two Mauritius people in my life.

One was in my class at uni, wasn't really practising and left before he could finish the course.

Other was a plumber who came to our house to fix something.

The former had fair skin whilst the latter had dark skin. I don't why I mentioned that but anyway.

There are oriental (far east) looking mauritian
there are "black" mauritian
they are "brown" mauritian
Some look more indian than others, others look "bengali" etc..

^^hence why we just call ourselves "mauritian"

hmm..havent had the best of experience with them, did the plumber fix whatever was wrong properly?
