What Islamic Stereotype Are YOU?
Bored girl with too much time on my hands
these are MY GENERALISATIONS so there’s no need to get uptight
Enjoy
Deoband – people think that ur beliefs are too strict and rigid-u feel that Islam has been compromised too much, it pains u to see how “liberal” everyone has become-u wish that TRUE pardah is implemented soon
Sufi - people accuse u of daydreaming, u want to purify urself and get closer to God, ur very polite and popular, people's insults dont bother u at all
MPAC Type - ur very active, very social, big on talks/march's and politics, u wish that mosque Imams "wake up" and "stop snoring", in ur day to day life tho ur not very strict with Islamic issues
Progressive – u believe that men misinterpret islam and hold women back, ur pro homosexuality, pro Abortion and people accuse u of trying to “modernise” the religion
Cultural/Traditional – u do whatever ur forefathers have told u to do, if they abide by the caste system so do u, people accuse u of being “backwards”, u are totally anti mixed cultural marriages and are very superstitious
Modern – u think that Islam should move with time, u feel that Islam is not compatible with the 21 century, u live ur life as an animal and do as u please
HT – u are angry that the Khilafah is not established, u wish people would stop worshipping their scholars when we have the quran and sunnah, u are reg told to move ur stall away from Mosques
Brewli - people accuse u of worshipping graves, u feel that people do not respect Nabi sallilahualayhiwasalam enough, u believe that Milad is Fard, u hate wahabi’s
Wahabi – u are disgusted with the amount of innovations that have creeped into our religion, u cant stand the fact that people do things that the Prophet (pbuh) and his Sahaba didn’t do, u see shirk everywhere,
He clearly a deobandi.
how am i clearly a deobandi?
Just curious how u worked it out?
and also Maulwi Ahmad Riza didnt have any deep debates with the Ulama of Deoband.
Rather he went around to hijaz and shaam and misquoting the ulama of deoband got fatawa of kufr put on their heads.
Alhamdulilah when our elders of deoband went to hijaz and shaam and told the ulama there what ACTUALLY was ritten the ulama retracted their earlier fatawa and infact a number of them labeled the Maulwi of Bareilly, ahmad riza khan a liar and a cheat and a fraud. Not me saying it but rather the ulama.

Brother, just from the scholar you quote, it doesn't take a genius. Plus, I wouldn't even really feel comfortable quoting what other people thought about what many percieve as a walli of Allah swt. Something i say are best left in the past and I would take your comment back.

thats not `progressive muslims` they are `libral muslims`-there is a difference
progressive muslims is sum obscure movement that beleive that the Quran is grossly mistranslated and they is attempting to ``correct`` the uleama- its constantly evolving hence the name `progressive`
Wahabi – u are disgusted with the amount of innovations that have creeped into our religion, u cant stand the fact that people do things that the Prophet (pbuh) and his Sahaba didn’t do, u see shirk everywhere,
its `salafi` only opponents call us `wahabi`
my steriotype:
shias- got an obsession wid the 12 imams, beat ur self up, tempory marriage is ok, cuss the sahaba, think the quran is incomplete  (and yes that was what i was told by `em!)
Niqabis- think all men are perverts, cant control themselves, think that allah made them that way, fail to realise that that niqab attracts more attention and only makes men MORE curious to see what is underneath  and are genrally over paranoid, beleive what u where is infinitly more important then what is inside ur heart, look down at "immodest western" girls, find women showing a bit of flesh gut-wrenching
i is libral / salafi
odd combination innit 8)

Salam Brothers and Sisters and Eid Mubarak.
I started out as a Sufi but I would say that I am more Deoband now, possibly due to the influence of some valid comments from a few HT brothers 🙂

The HTs have their own aqeedah.
Infact, Deobandis are not averse to calling themselves Sufis.
Maybe you haven't quite considered all the options.
What Islamic Stereotype Are YOU?
Out of all the topics possible to discuss relating to Islam do you think that HT are always wrong in their comments? My reply simply stated that that I felt I had turned a little more Deoband due to acknowledging that they have some valid points. That does not mean that I back them 100% and agree with everything they say. Although it is easy for people to assume. I hope this is clearer.

And they do not have an ideology.

k thanx.
What Islamic Stereotype Are YOU?
I don't adhere to any specific group, i'm a muslim first and foremost. i guess ppl online would call me a deobandi, a wahabi or a salafi or as someone already said "brainwashed". ppl on the streets would probably call me an "extremist".I really don't care anymore, i've grown up passed that stage tags like that mean nothing to me. Ppl use tags and give themselves names just to feel more superior to the next group of muslims. So i may be many things to many ppl but only God knows what i really am so bring on the names!
They are like rival for some reason, they both from area in india I think and they share so much in common then differences. But both group constantly argue over mundane points IMO. It due to the fact that Iman Ahmed Raza and one of the main deobandi scholar of the time used to argue over various points. It pointless and best rather left alone IMO.
you tell me now when i have created a whole talkin on our friend brelwis but i rather sum1 clarify who they are preferebly a brelwi..
