I was listening to this talk and the man was saying. "When you love someone you try to do everything to please them. the way you dress, talk, behave, the type of work you do etc..
well, arent we supose to love Allah beyond everything? then how can we say, "Ohh My faith is in my heart, but i love God"? If you truly did love Allah then it will show off in the way you behave, dress, talk, act, etc.."

Funny moment at work today. My manager mentioned that he'd noticed a lot more people praying in the corridor than normal and asked if it was because of Ramadan. I said yes, to which he responded "We're going to need a bigger corridor."

Cracked me up. Not "We're going to need a room for them." But "a bigger corridor." 😂

I would asume corridors have a purpose to them - for people to walk down them.

Work places are not a charity. They will have their own reasons for keeping people happy.

Kind of how some work places also provide other facilities to the people working there.

And it could be any random room that is empty and out of the way at that time.

What difference does it make? A place to pray and that is all that is needed unless there is a need for a room.

the problem with using a corridor is not just for those praying.

What if it blocks people from using it?

Surely a more out of the way place is better for the work to promote... let them forget about the people praying.

Would the people in the corridor also present a fire hazard?

They give us a corridor to pray in at school during ramadan,. its like a dead end corridor thats used only if theres a fire drill. & well no one prays during school hours usually or even in ramadan cus well its not usually needed you can fit it in around school times so it's cool, but thats coming from someone who only recently started praying all her daily prayers so maybe at some point in the year it wont fit? i danoe,.it'll have to be read kazaa then. but yea point of this was we get a corridor to.

what does kazaa mean?

at school we had this room, at the top of the highest building, nice people, offering free exercises to them muslims girls who want to pray their prayers on time... No kidding, you actually get cramps when you're standing in prayer. =/ and then you have to go all the way down...which is kind fun if you dare to jump half a flight of stairs!

praying in a corridor is uncomfortable, with people walking by and stuff. and its not like it costs them anything to lend you an empty room...

edit: but whats the point of guetting a special room if these muslims are just oging to pray for a month?

@ exception: in summer, its alright, prayers are spaced out. but in winter its harder. especially if you dont go home straight away after school and/or have extra curricular activites. I've many time had to pray Zuhr, Asr, MAghrib AND Ishaa at the same time. It's the worse, physically but also emotionally, i personally felt lower than low doing all my prayers in a hurry like that.
then i read somewhere that if you dont have a valid excuse (im thinking hanging out with mates/ extra curricular activity doesnt qualify) and the time of a particular prayer passes, you're not allowed to make it up, and can just pray for forgiveness. im not sure about this, maybe a forum topic is needed? (but if its true, then it's going to be worse, emotionally, then catching up all your prayers)

Now if the person fails to pray a given Salah in its fixed time without any excuse, he should make it up as soon as possible. This is the opinion of the majority of scholars and it is the choice of Islamweb.

However, some scholars believe that the person who deliberately misses to perform a prayer in its fixed time should not make it up as it not accepted, hence not possible.

and i slept too. It was only suppose to be half an hour! (how did it turn out to be about 4?)

I realy want to finish the Quran sharef during Ramzan but only managed to read up to 10 so far I dont think I would be able to finish it in time, 😢 . I dont have time in the morning after sheri cause need to get up for work after 2 hours. When I get home from work I am too tired and feel sleepy. The only time I have is on the weekends.

I totaly miss my COSTA Coffees, 🙁

My aim is to also finish the Quran in Ramadan.

Some days I will only read a few pages and other days I will read 3/4 paras.

So it is not only easy for me to finish the Quran atleast once, if I stuck with my routine, I could have finished the Quran 2/3 times.

I'm at surah Kahf, so half way through! inshallah this year i'll finish it!

Anyway i refuse to move away from this laptop untill i have finished my sociology AND english work apart from salaah breaks and those 5 min breaks im gna need when i'm losing the will to live!
being too ambitious? hope not, actually im willing to stay up until sehri time, to do this stupid work.

well you don't know what i mean by "break" do you. I mean, actually, take for example the fact i haven't even started it yet...
