France's lower house of parliament has overwhelmingly approved a bill that would ban wearing the Islamic full veil in public.
There were 335 votes for the bill and only one against in the 557-seat National Assembly.
It must now be ratified by the Senate in September to become law.

OMG!! ITS FRANCE!! NOT ENGLAND!! OHHHH!! IM SO RELIEVED!!!
i heard this somewhere and didnt here the "france" bit and thought it was happening here in england.
(selfish me is relieved...)
Is it true? Is it kind? Is it necessary?
It shows the fragility and pracariousness of our existence here and the questionable nature of assumptions that we can live here long term, this is our home, we have been accepted...
It simply takes one piece of legislation that the "mob" approve of such as banning hijab, mosques (as breeding grounds for unacceptable Islamic views!), Quran (as a book of violence) etc to make living here very difficult if not impossible requiring hijrah as per the Quranic verse:
When the angels take the souls of those who die in sin, they will ask: "In what (plight) were you?" They will reply: "Weak and oppressed were we in the earth." They will say: "Was not the earth of Allah spacious enough for you to migrate (from evil)?" Such will find their abode in Hell―what an evil refuge! Quran 4:97
A UK MP has already proposed a similar ban in the commons, so it is possible it could pass here as well at some point in the future!

@HMD - if you are not willing to take part to not allow such legislation to be passed, what right do you have to moan about it afterwards?
Besides, that is France and this is the UK. Dont you just love the British values that makes such legislation unlikely in the UK?
@Vocalist - I think conventional wisdom says that tha t MP is not likely to succeed in his bid. They also cannot the costs of enforcement (dont you just love capitalism?) and civil disobedience would be encouraged, daaging police relations further.

you cant trust the kafirs. they bang on about women's right and then they deny even clothes to women. can you get more oppressive than that?
i used to think that europe would never do such a stupid this. but now all muslims witness the hypocracy of the west. EU can never point finger to Saudis and say muslims force muslims to wear clothes and cover up. France forces females to uncover.
evil kafirs have exposed themselves to the whole world. west is defeating itself. alhamdulillah.
