again, me and my weird sense of thinking...
whats the point of age?
Isnt just another social control agent?
to tell us what to do and what to not do at different time in our life? things that are/are not acceptable in society?
(and birthday parties. big money makers for shops.)
whats the point in keeping track of your age?

"Really? That's so cool, man!"
"Yeah, plus my cellphone has a clock on it so..."
"So that's kinda the same thing."
"Huh?"

I agree - There is little relevance or importance to age - physical changes such as puberty are more important...
But then most western philosophical constructs are little more than artificial and superficial, brought about through a revolt against God and church...
I am quite sure that humans are born, and have been that most prophets received revelation at the age of 40...
More, the early saw good reason to start counting the years from the hijrah.
So it has a relevance.
Another thing about age is that life is a blessing and the more you have had, the greater chance you should ave had to learn, to gain in wisdom and to practice Islam. That is not something to be knocked.

LOL!!
I've just realised that your posts are a pastiche someone who is self-righteous, paranoid, ill-mannered and self-assured.
You had us going for a while... well done.
can u be sensible now?

Not sure most prophets received revelation at 40 is at all right - Adam, Isa, Ibrahim, Dawood, Yusuf etc immediately come to mind as contradicting that... Maybe you can elaborate...
counting the years of Hijrah is good. to be able to know what happened when etc...
and your argument about life, its only a blessing if you've used it well, if you havent gotten much out of your life that you can remember and use, how is a number going to change that? except maybe make you feel better about yourself? "im 50, i have experience, i know better."
Is it true? Is it kind? Is it necessary?
