Selling land is a different issue - buying land does not give you the right to govern it.

The thing is what you ask for will get you buy in from hard core supporters of the palestinians, but it has little buy in with the ordinary person because it is simply demanding too much.

Not wanting the people to be oppressed on the other hand is more a human thing that most will agree with.

According to Ayatollah Makarem Shirazi, this shows more than ever that Israel is taking the process of judaizing Jerusalem, which started shortly after the regime annexed the city during the 6 day war in 1967, to a wicked level.

“What we have here is yet another Israeli plot; an evil plan not only to judaize the city of Jerusalem by eliminating its Islamic identity, but also to destruct the holy mosque of al-Quds and replace it with the Temple of Solomon,” said the Iranian cleric.

“This is a sad and most unfortunate tragedy. We condemn such actions,” he added.

Ayatollah Makarem Shirazi went on to criticize the lack of Arab action against Israeli illegal efforts to expand settlements in al-Quds and strip the city of its Islamic features.

“Muslim countries are determined to defend their values and stand up to Israeli atrocities regardless whether [these] Arab countries remain silent or not,” he noted.

While Israel regards al-Quds as its "eternal and indivisible capital," the city is not recognized as such in the international community.

The east side of the city was captured and annexed by Israel in blatant defiance of international law during the so-called Six-Day War in June 1967.

Since then, Israel has been in illegal occupation of this part of the city and has gone to great lengths to delete the non-Jewish features of the city.

Among these efforts, are a recent decision to reopen Hurva Synagogue a few hundred meters from the al-Aqsa Mosque and an illegal project to expand Jewish settlements in occupied Palestinian territories.

Turkey also siding with Iran.

thats like saying what if the Prophet (pbuh) says something without proof, must it be true then.

there are people who know and then there are people who dont know. we shia muslims follow our teachers and they are Ayatollahs. They teach us Islam and what Allah wishes for us. They give verses of Quran and saying of Prophet (pbuh).

Therefore, the Ayatollah knows what he is talking about. He always gives concrete proof. He is not like other molvis who dont know what they are chatting about. Ayatollah is the highest ranking muslim learned man in the world.

Ayatollah never speaks without clear evidence from Quran and hadith and therefore what he says are facts, not just theories and whims.

I dont think you know the power and wisdom Allah has given to the Ayatollah. He has courage to stand up to the great satan and look him in the eye and then condemn him in the face. This is what we call a proper muslim scholar.

I won't post certain links here, but there is a description of your Ayatollah's behaviour with a 4 year old girl doing the internet rounds. Google ayatollah little girl or ayatollah 4 year old. Any truth to this malik? It appears the reference is authentic and the stories are copy and pasted everywhere you can imagine. There have been no refutations on Shia Muslim sites.

Firstly, you call me a zionist loving person, when I'm very pro-Palestinian (whilst being neutral to Judaism and Jews granted). I think the creation of Israel was a mistake.

Israel is now panicking. Its knows that time is up.
Israel's days are numbered. President already warned Jews to pack up.
The count down has begun to end this illegal and terrorist state of Israel.

Here's the thing - you will not hear a Sunni Muslim defend the Ayatollahs or their actions.

What is more likely for you to see is for Sunni Muslims to point this to you as their "proof" that the ayatollahs are bad.

I can categorically state the events and situations portrayed in the story are wrong and evil (and you will be hard pressed to find any Sunni Muslim who would defend it - just like you will (hopefully) not find many shia muslims defend it either. Hopefully they will call it a slur and false). But I cannot in any way shape or form comment on the validity of the story itself.

We once accidentally managed to have a forum topic on a "fake fatwa" about some Ayatollah . However, Malik defended the fatwa to the point where we found out it was someone trying to be humorous.

and yes, that also plays badly on Sunni Muslims at how ready we were to believe that spoof article about Shias.

Oh please DO mention the holocaust. It was a big thing. and no, I am not just talking about the massacre of Jews.

The Nazis were an arian supremacist group, not just an anti-Jewish group.

While Israel and many organisations focus on around 7 million people who were killed - the Jewish people, that was not the extent of it. Around double that number of people were killed. They didn't like non-arians and while they could trolerate other caucasians to a degree, any other colour of skin was straight out.

Many European countries at the time were empires and had foriegn legions in their armies. When surrendering, while the caucasians were given prisoner of war status, non caucasians (who btw were a lot of the time from Muslim lands occupied by the european powers) were simply executed on sight.
