School sacks woman over [reporting] bullying
A dinner lady who told a parent his seven-year-old daughter had been attacked at school in Essex has lost her job after a disciplinary hearing.
Carol Hill worked at Great Tey Primary school, near Colchester, and was sacked for a breach of confidentiality.
Ms Hill told the girl's father she had seen other pupils tie up his daughter and hit her with a rope.
The girl has now left the school and the parents said they were "disgusted" by the way Ms Hill had been treated.

Donor offers to help dinner lady
An anonymous donor has offered to pay legal costs for a dinner lady who was sacked for telling parents their daughter had been bullied.
Carol Hill, who worked at Great Tey Primary School in Essex, was said to have broken rules on confidentiality.
She had acted after seeing a seven-year-old girl whipped with a skipping rope after being tied to a fence.
A retired businessman has offered to help after reading about her case on the BBC News website.

Is anyone else reading that as "tying the girl up and hitting her with a rope is a confidential matter." or just me?
