anybody watching the world baseball classic?

Ale Mexico!

GO USA!

i'm seriously loving this - this is the biggest birthday present i've ever gotten, i've ALWAYS wanted a real world series and we finally have it.

It's so... shiny

*DUST* β€” Wed, 8 Mar 2006 - 21:08

lol.

i luv playing baseball, havent done so since the last time i went to the US tho, which was ages ago. πŸ™

i am totally ignorant when it comes to actual teams and whatnot, only know of 'Babe Ruth'. πŸ˜‚

Dave β€” Wed, 8 Mar 2006 - 21:21

lol you used to play?!

Wow

You're like an American... in Britain.

Well the great thing about this new thing is that you don't actually have to know any of the teams - its all countries just like the World Cup

http://www.worldbaseballclassic.com/2006/rosters/index.jsp?sid=t867

It's brand new this year and they are going to do it every four years.

Its AWESOME - cuba came back at the top of the 9th with a homerun rbi after puerto rico tied it up 4/4

US Canada is gonna be a good rivalry too

wow, thats great!! this could lead to baseball being more of a popular sport in other countries (namely: the UK!)... πŸ™‚

We have a version of baseball called Cricket...... πŸ™‚

All American sport are complicated and you need to read a manual to get started- where the fun in that?

Sirus β€” Thu, 9 Mar 2006 - 00:38

LOL

way to go Mez, thanx for that πŸ˜ƒ

theres only oooooooone Benfica!

Sibraso Simao and Fabrizio Miccolo - Β£9.84 million ...... The look on Steven G's face - Pricless 8)

πŸ˜‚ πŸ˜‚ Congrats to arsenal tho, they played well admittedly against a poor real madrid team with major issues

puh-leez...!! :? the only similarity between cricket and baseball is that ur using a stick-like thing to hit a ball.

have u ever played rounders? this is the closest english game to baseball, rules-wise and everything. the baseball bat is longer and heavier though.

Sirus β€” Thu, 9 Mar 2006 - 00:50

american sports belong in....america

no1 plays it here or takes it seriously

all sports are universal, except the american ones - they just HAVE to have their own

 my brother played for the AMERICAN Football team of his ENGLISH Uni.

Americans just need to put more effort into getting foreigners interested in their sports - this baseball world cup seems to be going in the right direction.

Yes- they have a national basketball team- many young Iranians look at the west as an example (take the best parts)

Did you know that Iran also has it’s own automotive industry?
