There were kebabs, there were dates, there were samosas and there was rice. along with fruit Possibly other things too.

Chips. and fish. and then two people delivered rice, so that too. There was also a fruit mix. (fruit chaat?). Tea.

I suppose if you've never had them; you can think of them as a cross between a samosa and a Fajita.

Yes. Like I said the gap between Iftaar and suhoor is so little that you hardly feel hungry.
Keeping away from food is easy. it's the other stuff I can't keep away from :/

rice with gosht (peas & potatoes)

samoasas
had no room for dessert today.
i'm going on the biggest diet after ramadan.

As for iftar, don't binge people. Eat oily food if you like but don't "take revenge" on the hours where you couldn't eat!
