Girl's Career Ruin Marriage?

Like the Prophet (saw)'s own mother?
The level of care being suggested is cultural and emotional. It may be a good thing or it may not be a good thing.
Re: Girl's Career Ruin Marriage?
I sat at home for a few months. I got bored.
I am now back to work.
And cos I work, the time I spend with family is more meaningful...its quality time...I look forward to my evenings and weekends and always enjoy the time I spend with them..
For me, personally...my career hasnt 'destroyed' my marriage. For me and my husband, its brought us closer together...cos now, domestic and financial responsibility is equally shared.
But this is very much a personal thing...every couple is different. I can see how for some people, a wifes career would ruin a marriage.
Re: Girl's Career Ruin Marriage?
Some poisons dont kill you straight away.
Re: Girl's Career Ruin Marriage?
Depends on the type of poison.
Some say that that idleness, boredom, being inactive, not feeling useful etc is a mental poison..
Re: Girl's Career Ruin Marriage?
Yes.
And some people resort to alcohol to get rid of them.
Others require new poisons as a remedy.
Re: Girl's Career Ruin Marriage?
Sometimes a husband can ruin a girls career too. Just ask Jacqui Smith.
(EDIT - not suggesting that the career was the problem in this case - not at all. Just saying that the career may not be the problem.)

Who says she doesn't want to? Maybe she wants to work a little bit as well. No?

Re: Girl's Career Ruin Marriage?
It all depends on the type of work
I can get very frustrating staying at home all the time
you need a break
besides
women are good at multi tasking
we come home from work and we're still expected to do the housework
and we do it well
What kind of a mother would not look after her own son but rather
ask another women to look him.
