Always liked soccer, the only problem is because it is not so big here we don't get any club match - it's all the international stuff if we get it at all.

So I sorta have to feel my way through it via back alleys - think i've done a decent job so far!

lol sorry buddy I got too many connections to ManUtd to go for any other team. They are connected to the Yankees (booyah!) the forum told me if im not a united fan they would kill me (especially shabs and hayder), and they've just got too many interesting players. Solksjaer, Keane, Ruud, et cetera.

I'll keep my eye out for Barcelona though!

Polo comes back home to Iran

By Frances Harrison
BBC News, in Tehran

It has been called the Game of kings, but polo is being revived in post-revolutionary Islamic Iran.
And it's not just men who are playing this dangerous sport - women are now competing too but observing Islamic dress restrictions.

As the female riders prepare for the first ladies' polo tournament in Iran for at least 100 years, the sports commentator gives the audience a history lesson - reminding them that polo originated in the royal courts of ancient Persia 2,500 years ago....
Ron vows to continue antics

Ronaldo has vowed to continue his animal celebrations and claims that he has a new one up his sleeve if he scores for Brazil in their upcoming World Cup qualifier against Bolivia.

The Real Madrid striker has caused an outcry in Spain after he joined forces with compatriots Robinho and Roberto Carlos to celebrate goals by lying on their backs with waving their arms and legs in the air and also leapfrogging over one an other.

Alaves president Dimitri Piterman threatened to report the trio to the Spanish Football Federation and labelled them as 'clowns' after finding their unique performance insulting.

Despite the controversy, Ronaldo is intent on continuing the routines: "We are going to celebrate using a very unusual animal this time," he said from Brazil's training camp.

Reports have suggested that Madrid president, Florentino Perez, is concerned that the celebrations show a lack of respect for opposition sides and that it could cause a rift in the dressing room, as only the Brazilians are invited to participate.

Ronaldo denies that he has received any message from the club's hierarchy telling him to stop doing it.

"I have not been given any orders prohibiting this type of celebration," he said. "It is just a little game we have.

"I am going to continue with the imitation of animals. There is no problem with it."
