Confession thread
Wanna get something off your chest?... If so, then you have come to the right place.
Have you ever done something stupid?... I mean really stupid. It might have been something you did on purpose but didn't quite turn out the way you wanted. Or maybe it was something you didn't expect to happen. Did you go red and your head felt like it was going to explode? Or did you wish you could just disappear into the thin air.
Have you ever walked straight into a postbox / lamppost when you were looking somewhere else? Or were you unable to get out of a room and started shouting 'Help! Help!' only to realise that you're supposed to pull and not push? Or maybe you want to make a confession (can't be boring!)
Come on, let it all out.

Soon there will ONLY be EU law, and no British-only law.
Mwahahahahaha!
I think we all know thats never gonna happen. Parliament will never give away their sovernity. I virtually slept through MOST of the EU lectures (they were 2 hours long) and property is bleh... but its doable.
Hang on a minute i thought you did the GDL? :?

I did. Whats your point? We still had to take Public Law and EU.
Re: Confession thread
I like other types of law, you know, criminal, family, human rights, immigration, tort and all that. Just not flippin' property law. Just hearing the name tells me that it'll be boring.
You know I actually like EU law, whatever they legislate we are bound. If it wasn't for the EU we may not have quite a lot of the rights we have now.
Seraph, Parliament has lost some sovereignity, but I dooubt that EU will dictate everything for Britain.

After i posted that and went to bed it actually occurred to me that it wouldnt matter if you did the law degree or GDL, either way you would have had to study EU. I was having a blonde moment.
Just out of curiosity how come you decided to do the GDL? If you dont want to tell me you dont have to, just tell me to mind my business, i wont take offence.
wats EU law composed of? is it different from UK law?
Ever since GB joined the EU it has to follow certain laws regarding trade, travel, civil rights and all that. The EU makes European law which every country has to follow, or else they could be fined.

You might be the only child living in the house but you won't be an only child properly! You'll probably be in your late teens or older by then, correct me if I'm wrong.

Awwww, bless you! Don't worry we understand.
I've got a confession. I used to eat paper when I was young! In Year 2 we had to colour a few squares on some checked paper, I knew that I would finish the whole paper, so I started eating the bottom squares! Yup, in the middle of class, and my table and the teacher were staring at me.

Re: Confession thread
Have I mentioned the time when I banged the top of my head on a side view mirror?
Well once (a long time ago - I was at uni), I was walking down the road. reading a paper at the same time. as you do.
I had kept enough of an eye out to not walk into anyone and I was in a rush.
Did you know that trucks have exceptionally high side view mirrors? it hit the top of my head (not the forehead - that would have been less painful) and it hurt like a ... erm a lot.

Re: Confession thread
OUCH! That must have killed! But how did you hit your top of your head? were you skipping or something?
Nope - I was reading a paper, so head at an angle.
Re: Confession thread
I doubt it. I remember it hurt at the time.
More importantly I realised that power walking and reading a broadsheet at the same time may not be the best idea in the world.
Re: Confession thread
Loolz your stories are soo funny, it reminds me of last year i was sitting in a double decker bus at the top and at the back with some of my mates. It was rainy day and everything the floor was all wet.And soo many people in the bus.So im there bout to get off i get up and press the button when my friend pushed me forward at the same time the bus braked and i slipped fell on my bottom slid to the front of the stairs i got up trying to take al the dirt of my abaya. i tried going down the stairs slipped again. Ended up downstairs on my bottom.
was so embarassin.
Re: Confession thread
My most embarrassing moment was outside my work place. I had stilettos on and I went over a drain and my heel got caught into it. I thought okay just yank my foot out, never worked, anxiously looking around ppl were coming up towards work place, tried again, didn’t work. Then a guy comes up and said I’ll try helping you, he steps on the drain and I try yanking my foot out and the whole drain came off!!!!!!!!! I feel like dying at this point….he said there’s nothing you can do other than take your boot off and come inside. So this is me hopping along and the guy attempts to take my heel off the drain but it doesn’t work….a few attempts and yipeeeeee its off, phew!!!
Another one outside of work can’t believe I’m telling all this. Anyway was walking with my mate into work, decided to take shortcut through car park, as I was going I had completely forgotten the barrier, my friend was literally a step ahead of me! The barrier came and hit me on the head and this knocked my head back and the barrier landed on my upper lip! (ouch), I was dazed for a bit, my friend was in complete shock and kept asking me if I was okay, lol I was barely! My lip hurt and was sore -ish when answering calls but I managed without going home!
That’s the 2 most embarrassing moments for moi.
Re: Confession thread
wow and ouch.
Re: Confession thread
Something else I just remembered.
At a work place they one brought a bouncy castle with those extra large boxing gloves.
I got challenged to a boxing match, and while I did win, I am quite sure I was concussed.
For about a week bright lights and loud noises would give me a massive headache.
I never expected that to happen from those extra large glove thingies that should not be able to hurt even a fly (the only way to really knock another person down was if they lost their balance or you pushed them over).
Re: Confession thread
lol
I remembered another one. I hate heels yet i love wearing em.
I was distributing some revivals and I happened to see a few youth guys so thought why not leave it at the mosque coz a lot of youths go here, so I went in and asked uncle ji if it was okay to leave some magazines and he said yes it was. I left them with him and was about to walk out till I realised one of my hells had got caught in the stupid mat, I tried to lift my foot but to no success, the uncle came and pulled my shoe out an left. I thought thank god, but what I didn’t realise was my other foot too was caught!! Omg I was soo embarrassed the uncle was prob thinking what an idiot. Uncle helped me again, its safe to say I have never entered that mosque again!!
