this is such a nice story.. well not a story but a Story *sigh* anyway...
i think convert are soo, not lucky coz luck doesnt exist in islam but i cant find another word so ill use that one, i think there soo lucky to have THAT feeling when they come to islam. you know the "this is the truth" feeling, i dont have that feeling, i've grown in islam...
the closest you can get when u were already a muslim is when you get deeper in religion, take out the culture bit, the innovations, polish it up and then when you look back you think "ouahh i was doing THAT sort of things?" alhamdoulillah Allag guided me!
gave me the shivers when he said the ayaat about signs, he got me in the spirit with the candles etc... then the hiding under the duvet. that exactly what i would have done!
its so great when you learn something in science and then you see the proof in the qur'an written ages back, and it's like "yeah brov, that's MY religion!"
@Sawsan - luckily you never said it was luck or Ya'qub would have jumped on ya!
(I liked the bit where he was talking about wanting a sign.)

IMO Using anything as a tool for good is a good thing. Using the same things as a tool for bad is a bad thing.
As long as the people are NOT used as cult figures I see no harm.

It feels like this has a meaning in life - about looking for signs. Does it mean that you should look for a sign, or that they are all already there?

so... what you're trying to say... is that what I see as blue could be seen as red by everyone else?

yup - it does have that effect. I do wonder though if converts get the feeling that they are being treated like circus acts though, the great new thing that everyone oohs and aahs about...

You are all free to use me as your inspiration if you like, although I don't recommend it, cos I'm pretty rubbish to be honest.

Everything is a sign.
Everything points to the existence of God.
Its just if our eyes (or, rather, hearts) are ready to see the signs for what they are.
