i wrote this poem ages ago. then found it again and made some "modifications" but i think it needs some more, maybe a "palestinian" paragraph?
Why are you moaning for?
Is that you that is moaning
When there’s no hater when you go downstairs?
While in Russia
People are dying of cold.
Is that you that is moaning
When there’s no hot water when you need it?
While in India
There’s no water to drink.
Is that you that is moaning
When there’s no crisp in the cupboard?
While in Africa
People are starving to death.
Is that you that is moaning when it’s raining during the week-end?
While in Oceania
There are Tsunamis and Tropical storms.
Is that you that is moaning
When you have to share your room with your sister?
While in China
You can only have one child.
Is that you that is moaning
When you’ve hurt your knee?
While on the roads
People are loosing their legs forever
Is that you that is moaning
When your little sister is crying?
While during wars
People have to cope with the sound of exploding bombs
Is that you that is moaning
When tomorrow is Monday
While in Nigeria
People don’t know how to add
Is that you that is moaning
When there’s a hole in your socks
While in Palestine
There’re only rags as clothes
Now tell me
Is that you that is still moaning
When you can’t have what you want
While all over the world
Children can’t choose between life and death
i think i wrote this porm when i heard myself, sister and family in general kinda complain after we made hijra to England. i couldn't stand it and i wrote this so that i'll stop feeling sorry for myself *i hate that feeling*

Thought provoking and I like the message of not to wallow in self pity.
"For too long, we have been a passively tolerant society, saying to our citizens 'as long as you obey the law, we will leave you alone'" - David Cameron, UK Prime Minister. 13 May 2015.
Aww....i like that poem...it's cute
I think like that sometimes too
"why am i whinging about this when it could be so much worse"
But to be honest, think it's much different...the two situations can't really be compared- i.e what's a "crisis" to someone here might not be to someone over there....
Having been brought up or grown up a certain way- they can probably put up with a lot more....
That sounds kind of bratty but i mean like if i,or my friends, go out and we haven't eaten in ages, since that afternoon or something everyone will be all " i'm starving let's eat"...and sometimes people say "don't SAY you're starving- you're NOT, people in Africa are starving-they don't eat for days at a time" but the thing is, that what we feel IS starving to US....i doubt we could survive not eating for days at a time, never mind starving after not eating!
Anyway...
Good poem.
#Before you look at the thorns of the rose , look at it's beauty. Before you complain about the heat of the sun , enjoy it's light. Before you complain about the blackness of the night, think of it's peace and quiet... #
yeah i guess but donesnt that mean we've been too influence and take things for granted
all human are the same right? so im sure we could survive...
we've done something at home: the difference between "i'm hungry" and "i want to eat" as we speak french at home the " i want to eat" come first. so now we are careful when we talk and when my bro say "im hungry" we ask " are you hungry or do you want to eat?"
make us all think and stoped most of the snacking at home...
Is it true? Is it kind? Is it necessary?
Well yeah. We're all human (give or take)
but we're also all different (to an extent)
different people are born different ways that make them stronger or weaker and vice versa...
We've also probably been brought up in different circumstances....someone who's been spoilt all their lives would probably find it diffcult suviving penniless but it's not their fault...
Well i only eat WHEN i'm hungry...
But bless, that's nice

Yeah, but moanings every mans God given right.
Besides if we've been blessed with central heating, hot water and food to die for... hmmmmm....
...wait what was my point?
