Lessons From teh Animals

I think we humans can be too materialistic, we should learn from animals.

Take the alligator, for example. It has a very big, silly-looking nose. That is undeniable. But if I was an alligator, I wouldn't want to have an operation or cosmetic surgery; it would make catching my prey more difficult for a start.

And how about kangaroos? They look really stupid, hopping around. All it is is 'hoppity hoppity hoppity' all day long. But how does the kangaroo feel about it? I'm sure he/she probably thinks something like, "Yeah, all this hopping can get quite boring, but on the plus side, I'm in the Guinness Book of Records."

And what about the baby kangaroos, 'johnnies' or 'joeys' or whatever they're called? They live the first few years of their life inside their mums' pouches, without being tall enough to see out the top. It must feel like they're kidnapped or something, like they're locked in the boot of a car, or something. For the first few years of their life they have no idea where they are, they might think they're growing up in Sicily or Tunisia or something, but then when they're finally tall enough to look over the top of the pouch, and, "bugger me! I'm in Australia!"

You don't hear kangaroos complaining though, they just get on with it (hopping, etc). They don't have therapy or anything.

Yep, we could learn a lot from the animals...

maybe its because they cannot ponder?

Do they live through the moment or do their intellects work in human ways?

Do they have the necessary free will to think ungratefulness?

lol! the best animal to learn from is a donkey, they look so calm and peaceful, have nothing to stress about, life to them is pathetic so why should they stress,, they must be relaxed 24/7

they get lots of exercise done this way, we should learn and use the trampoline more

From our conversations! I think that we need to channel into our 'animal self' (well the positive aspects of it).

People think the 'animal self' is just negative things which we should learn to 'control', but they forget that its the 'human side' which is the part of us which leads to pride and arrogance, which are more dangerous than hunger and lust (I think, anyway).

Humans are only differently because humans use thought processes and have ability to make decisions.
More interestly what do you think about fish? especially goldfish?
I remember standing once and watching some gold fish, swimming about, they have nothing interesting to do they? all they do is swim and swim and what else do they have in life? why dont they commit suicide? if that was a human, theyd have been depressed by now,,and questioning life, but goldfish? no, they live it through,, how brave....

They have a 7 second memory! So whenever they swim round and round their bowel, all they think is "Ooh, that looks nice, what an interesting room. Ooh, that looks nice, what an interesting room. i didnt know know that about goldfish, i think its cool how they are trained though,, I mean when I used to feed some at 8.30 in the morning,, theyd be all at the top waiting,, but if if i go and feed them in the morning and then when I go back at 12 they wont pay any attention 🙁 but i dont like the unnatural way that they have to wait for their food like that

Me too! All pixar is great. I love them all (except Bug's Life. It's good, but not QUITE as great as the others).

Oh! I havent seen Wall-E,, it must be worth it, i like all the animated movies,, so easy to watch and relax, 🙂
You, you say it makes you feel older? what do you mean? I think the way you think about things make you feel older, relax, theyr good movies with nice morals, something to laugh at, and just reminds you of childhood times when there was nothing to stress about,, well i think so anyway... plus there isnt an age limit to these types of movies!
