I came across this article when eating my brekky:

'We still believe in Christmas'
STAFF at a borough primary school had to go into crisis mode to try and restore the magic of the season – after a supply teacher told stunned youngsters that there is no such person as Father Christmas.
The teacher is reported to have desperately upset the class of six and seven year-olds at Blackshaw Lane Primary, Royton, leaving many of their parents furious.
One angry parent, whose daughter was in the class, told the Advertiser: "I wasn’t very happy and a lot of the mums were quite upset. I can’t remember when I found out about Santa myself but it’s something I firmly believe should be left to the parents.
"All kids at that age are excited at this time of year so for someone to come out and say something like that puts a damper on it all. Now there are doubts at the back of their minds."
However, the parent praised the head and other staff at the school for the way they responded and have worked to restore faith in the festive season.
"This is not a bad reflection on the school," he said. "I got the impression they are not very happy about it.
"They were really quick to get on the ball and I can only praise them for their actions in dealing with it.
"My seven-year-old now believes that what they were told is not true and there is a Father Christmas. The school has had the children writing letters to him and learning all about the history behind the stories."
Philosophically, I thought the difference between education and brainwashing was that in education, the teacher also believed what was taught.
So, how wrong is what this school did? is it brainwashing?
Why the idiocy to teach that santa exists?
Does anyone else have an urge to tell their younger relatives to mention while at school that santa does not exist?

did he go down people's chimneys stealing cooked food that was left in the open?

In My Name is Earl the break into people's dressed as Santa to steal presents.
One 6 year old girl finds them and asks Earl if he IS Santa why is he taking the presents away.
He says if she thought long and hard she'd know the answer to that, and if she doesn't go back to bed there won't be Christmas next year either.
When they get the presents back to their house and are opening them, Earl's wife says:
"If this is another god-damn Thesaurus I swear I'm gonna go to those dumb, stupid...er, dummies and break their knecks!"
I thought that was funny...
Don't just do something! Stand there.
Solution: Don't tell them that a fat man called Santa comes to give them presents. You can't discipline someone for telling the truth, they're just kids they'll get over it.
