Do you Love Britain?
Re: Do you Love Britain?
Re: Do you Love Britain?
After spending my summer in Pakistan...I LOVE Britain.
Obviously its only in comparison to Pakistan. I'm looking to spend some time travelling next year..maybe then I'll be in a better position to compare Britain with other countries.
However, at the moment Britain is my home. Britian is where I feel safe. Britain is fair and where I have no fear of being screwed over.
Re: Do you Love Britain?
Having been in Islamistan for almost two weeks, I feel I am now informed enough to say a few things about my feelings towards Britain:
Things I miss about Britain (in order of importance):
Oyster cards
Cleanliness
Lack of power-cuts
Large variety of food from all over the world
My friends
My family
Luxeries
Being able to speak English
Things I don't miss:
Red tape
Health and Safety
Alcohol
Large price of food from all over the world
People posing with their cars/clothes/possesions
The mosques
Chavs, Garys, Sarahs, Cobbler Jobblers etc.
Distractions (aka 'Luxeries')
p.s. I do love my family, even if I don't miss them much. That probably would have been higher in the list if I wasn't able to speak to them or email them.
Re: Do you Love Britain?

Re: Do you Love Britain?
You know how you associate certain food with certain countries well do fish and chips originate from Britain or from China?
I always thought they were a British thing but now im not soo sure coz most the chippies are owed by Chinese ppl :doubt:
Re: Do you Love Britain?

Fish and chips came from Bangladesh.
When Britain was ruling over the entire Indian subcontinent,
a lot things and ideas were exported from the muslims and taken to Victorian Britain.
Thanks to the Bangali women, today everyone in our country loves fish and chips.

The BBC comedy program "Goodness Gracious Me" was a hit in Britain.
It was produced by Jon Plowman, and aired from 1998 to 2000.
It had four British actors: Meera Syal, Nina Wadia, Sanjeev Bhaskar, and Kulvinder Ghir.
The progam was really funny.
But the program was also racist.
Indians and Pakis were mocked.
Anyone who watched the series could see that they were taking the piss:
The Paki "Check Please" guys who insults his girlfriends.
The "Sindi Dolls" - Paki snobish girls who assult sales assistants in shops.
Indian film star "Chunky Lafanga" trying to get into Hollywood.
The India "Coopers" who claim to be white.
The Paki "Minx Twins" girls Meena and Beena who are actually desperate for boys but pretend they have had plenty.
The Paki wannabe rappers "Bhangra Muffins" who dont know first thing about getting a date with a girl.
The Paki "Uncle Fixer" who claims he can do anything and everything.
There were others racist parts that tried insulting blacks.
These were too rude. I wont mention them here out of respect for my sisters.

Re: Do you Love Britain?
You remind me of a clerk that my law teacher knew. He would NEVER say even a half-swear word if there was a woman in the room, even if she swore all the time. He would feel embarassed about giving female barristers rape or sexual assault cases.

Re: Do you Love Britain?
Things I love about this little island I call home (in no particular order):
1. A diverse society that is generally tolerant towards people of different ethnicities
2. The opportunity to gain a good education and make something of life
3. The National Health Service (Which I hope to improve one day, Inshallah!)
4. The beautiful countryside
5. Great sport, especially football
6. The literature, both classic and contemporary
7. The Royal Family
8. People who care about the welfare of their country
9. Friendly neighbours (mine are anyway), who are not nosy
10. Clean drinking water
11. Good food
12. Technology
Things that I don’t like so much…
1. The weather
2. Foreign policy
3. Drunk students
4. A fast track lifestyle
5. A materialistic approach to life
thats all i could think of for now.

No.
Honour only women. They are special. Men are not special.
But married women who are in true love with their husbands were
asked to respect and honour their husbands.

Princess Diana. She was dating a muslim
Her Majesty. She has been linked to the Quraish tribe.
Prince Charles. He loves Islam.
Prince William. He picked the right girl Kate Middleton.
Prince Harry. Forced himself to "drag my sorry arse through Sandhurst".
