Georgia is backed by America so it fears Iran and it wants to ethnically kills all the Shia Muslims in its territories. But Allah moves in mysterious ways. Imam Ali used Russia to protect his followers and now Georgia has been defeated.
Even BBC now says it was Georgia that started the war by targetting civilians.

Satan and his allies in Europe are busy in propaganda against Russian leaders. They are silent on Muslim genocide in South Ossetia and Abbasia regions of Georgia. These names have been changed over the decades to wipe out their Muslims past and Islamic identity.
The provincial capital Ceenwali ( there was many Walis of Allah there in the past) was bombed on 7 August 2008 and 2000 civilians killed by Georgian military. SKY and CNN would dare not mention that. They want to keep their public ignorant of the reality. Its best to watch Russia Channel : RT - Russia Today.
Islam in Georgia was introduced in 645 A.D. when an army sent by the Second Caliph of Islam, Umar, conquered Eastern Georgia and established Muslim rule in Tablisi. Muslims constitute 9.9%, or 463,062, of the Georgian population.
Another minority Muslim group, the Abkhazians, live scattered throughout the secessionist region of Abkhazia and in other Georgian towns. They were in part converted to Islam throughout the 17th and 18th centuries during the Ottoman domination.
Starting in the 1860s with the Ottoman regression and faced with the Russian progression in the Caucasus, a large part of the Abkhazian Muslims (like Muslims from other minorities in the Caucasus) emigrated south to the Ottoman towns.
During the Soviet period, Abkhazian Islam became weaker, but it would seem that since the collapse of the Soviet Union, the establishment of links between Abkhazians of Georgia and descendants of Abkhazian immigrants in Turkey has somewhat favoured an Islamic revival.
Abkhazia has about 80% Orthodox Christian as there has been huge relocation and turnover in the last 180 years.
Is there a place for Islam in Mikhael Saakashvili’s Christian Georgia?
Bayram Balci of Georgia says Georgian Azeris extend their hands to Iran.
Whatever their denomination, Georgian Muslims are finding it harder and harder to recognise the new national ideology, put into place by the Saakashvili regime. Over the coming years, their lack of identification with a State which has clearly affirmed its attachment to Christian values is likely to weaken further the understanding between the strongly Muslim provinces and districts and the capital, which has already had problems establishing itself. A three-part investigation
Should Islam in Georgia fear being marginalised?
At the centre of the new national ideology in Georgia, whether in Tbilisi, in the Kvemo Kartli region, where the majority of the population is Shiite Azeri, and in Ajaria, despite the ‘Christianisation’ which has taken place since independence, the Georgian Church has existed alongside a Georgian variant of Islam that has been present in the country since the start of the Muslim Conquest.
EDIT BY YOU - Removed most of the text and linked to the source. THanks Beast (below) for finding the link.
@Malik - next time LINK to the article with maybe a paragraph or two as a quote instead of posting it all here. Way too long cut and paste job.
Very interesting.
I didn't even know there were many Georgian Muslims.
Shame about your opening paragraph... it would be a lot more interesting without all the 'Satan' 'Imam uses Russia' and 'watch RT' etc, but thanks anyway.
Don't just do something! Stand there.
Say what? You're referring to the Crusader Cross, right? What Jackanory conspiracy theory gives that ridiculous piece of misinformation - is there a source?
This is his source: http://www.caucaz.com/home_eng/breve_contenu.php?id=177
Malik, nothing in your post backs up the assertion that "Georgia is backed by America so it fears Iran and it wants to ethnically kills all the Shia Muslims in its territories."
Have you ever thought you might be putting 2 and 2 together and getting 50000000?
Georgia woke up a sleeping monster and got whipped. They were stupid. At the same time, Russia is really a monster. It will not be pleasant when exerting force... things could get messy.
Unlike the US, I think Russia CAN take casualties without affecting its overall apetite for war. (It's losses in Chechnya were/are huge. Apparently a higher bodycount per month than it had in Afghanistan.)

According to Malik, Muslim=Shia.
Chin up, mate! Life's too short.
Thats not true bro. Sunni Muslims are also brothers and sisters of Shia Muslims.
Ayatollah teaches us to respect the Sunnis Muslims as our brothers in Islam.
We all have our different schools of thought.
But we all love Allah and follow his Prophet (pbuh).
We Shias Muslims have our own Hadith books and Sunni Muslims have a different set of collection.
Ya Ali Madaad!
Georgia is now punished by by Allah. He used Russia to humiliate Israelis plans against Iran.
Now Georgia lost two of its provinces. Good. Thats the punishment for trying to massacare thousands of people in your own country.

I'm no expert. (I have friends from Georgia and from Russia but I didn't consult them. They may have more pressing considerations than explaining things to me, but when we next meet...)
I did want to understand better the news we've had. My basic conclusion after quite a lot of reading is that Russia is the world's greatest sonofabitch and that Putin will turn out to be a megalomaniac of an order we thought we might never see after WWII and the Cold War. The two "breakaway" regions of Georgia have very long been integral to Georgia and the only seeds of discontent were callously sown during Soviet occupation. I emphasis that word because we aren't familiar with such a degree of calculated agitprop even in the intractible Middle East conflicts we've spent time discussing, and it bears looking into, just how terrifying Russian nationalism can be. This war, I believe at this time, has been meticulously planned by Russia, and Georgia bore far more provocation in the days preceeding the official war than anyone fully appreciated from a media sated with the Olympics. Georgia did not plan a war at a time when all its key troops were in Iraq or believe that on the opening day of the Olympics the world would be easily confused. Russia did. Nor has Georgia, I believe, committed the mass murders of which it was quickly accused. Russia did. Russian "irregulars" - thugs and Cossaks - are presently running a rampage in Georgia, and Georgia's hands are tied. At some point this and other major frozen conflicts on Russia's periphery will rend the world in two. It is the first time in my lifetime that I foresaw a great war in Europe again and it is worth researching what has happened as meticulously as possible from as many sources as you can. Perhaps I will discuss this further in the coming weeks.
As for the Israel angle in the other thread - Israel is an ally of numerous former Soviet countries, and Russia wants you to know it. So is all Europe and North America. The pipeline through Georgia is the only one in the region not controlled by the Russians. Israel, Turkey and several other countries have a direct stake, and of course all of Europe has an interest in preventing Russian sabotage and world domination. From what I read the Russian's refused to be pacified by a stake in the project. Whether it was a good deal or not I don't know. I can believe that Israeli ex-military have cooperated with Georgia on security of the project. I don't really think there's anything more to say about that but Malik should feel free.
Not sure about Georgian nationalism and Orthodox Christianity, but I do think Georgia has been among the nicest places in the world for isolated Jewish and Muslim communities for many centuries. Russia hasn't. Unless corrected, I'm choosing a side.
Israel wanted end of Muslims in Georgia. It plotted. Allah made better plans.
The result is for all to see.
Satanic America and Israel both lost. Russia defeated them both.
Georgia President Israeli and US puppet. He was trying to commit mass murder of Christians and Muslims. It was genocide. Allah does not love killers of innocent people. He sent Russians against all 3 parties.

So... which side do you support?
The Georgians who were "set up by Israel to kill Muslims", or Russia, which is an ally of Iran but has occupied Chechnya and brutally repressed the population at the cost of many Muslim lives?
@ Joie - my Googling suggested that those regions have never been a part of Georgia unless Georgia was a part of something bigger. Like the soviet Union and other empires before then.
Russia is a pretty big monster, however I do feel that some parts of the action were justified and Tbilisi was both naive and wrong to try and retake South Ossetia when it did.
It may have been a Russian plan for that to happen in their game of chess, or it may not have been. Dunno.
We are once again almost in interesting times.

I support Iran of course.
It is the only muslim country that can stand up to Satanic American government.
I also support Lebanon that beat Israel. Party of God always wins.
Allah does not want Israel to kill Muslims. So everytime it tries it, Allah will defeat it.

If that strikes you as plausible I'm not adequately trained or equipped to help.
Ossetians are from a distinct ethnicity straddling Georgia and Russia but no, generally the area was boundary-less and unified with Georgia for at least two centuries. You are right that the precise borders were created by the Russian Empire at the turn of the 19th century, but mistaken in that Russia has supported both irregulars and gangsters, arming them to take on Georgian peace-keeping positions in the name of a phoney independence that amounts to Russian takeover. Putin has granted passports to any South Ossetian to move freely in and out of Russia as Russian citizens, effectively rendering Georgia's mountainous borders as porous as possible. In the days leading up to the war there were numerous incidents in which Georgian troops were fired on with new Russian bullets, a violation of treaties signed at the fall of the Soviet Union, and after Georgia, which had few resources at its disposal, had declared a unilateral ceasefire, saying that its troops would not even respond to provocation, Putin sent armoured columns marching into Georgia. Most of us missed it. Only then did Tbilisi send its paltry forces into the region.
Putin's Russia is highly intelligent, coldly calculating, utterly barbaric and feeling hawkish.
Just having a little fun and playing devil's advocate . Trying to see what Malik's response would be.
It is surprising (to me anyway) that this is happening after his presidency is over.
I guess it has more to do with the value of gas/oil and what its price affords than who the (nominal?) leader is.
