Prophet SAW made from Noor?

Salaam all.

As you can see im new and this is my first topic(and post). I was told about this forum by sister on another forum. She had also gave me info and help on such things as Milad un nabi and salaaming/touching peoples feet out of love/respect. Although some of those things are still unclear to me for various reasons, this is another issue which is somewhat unclear to me.

Id appreciate it if someone could bring some evidences forward to prove this or prove it isnt true.

JazzakAllah for your help and apologies in advance if iv said anything rude or offensive.

I thought people could post up hadiths or something which could indicate some sort of an answer, which is what happened on another forum. But yes if you could ask a scholar for me id very much appreciate it.

There are countless places where it tells u the Propeht ﷺ is noor..

Surah 5:15: Verily there has come to you a light (the Prophet (saw)) and a clear book(the holy Qur'aan)

Thats one clear verse from the Qur'aan which tell us that the Prophet ﷺ is noor. 🙂

Ya Ali Madaad!

We Shia Muslims are taught by our Ayatollahs that there is one hadith in which Prophet (pbuh) said that before he and Imam Ali were created by Allah from Divine Light before everything else.
Prophet said he and Imam Ali were created from same light. They are first of Allah's creation.

This is my belief.

but everywhere it says the Prophet ﷺ was the first to be created from noor.. in Jannah, on every leaf, on every door, it says Muhammad (saw).. where has Hazarat Ali (ra) come from?

The Prophet (saw)'s status and Hazarat Ali's status are very very VERY different.. i dont understand why people of the Shia sect think Hazarat Ali is an equal of the Propeht (saw)..

Err...

I'm not one to interpret, but couldn't that be taken to mean that the Prophet ﷺ 'lights the way to Allah (swt)' by giving us guidance to live our lives by, not necessarily 'Divine Light'

By the way, I don't understand the difference between Noor/normal light.

Is there any? Surely all light is from Allah (swt), whether it comes from the sun or a pocket torch. Any info?

Err...

The story of when the prophet ﷺ asked jibra'il (as) how old he was? and he replied i dont know but all i can remember when i was created i saw a light and then the prophet ﷺ that light was me.

Hadhrat Adam (AS) when asking for forgiveness said to ALLAH swt that forgive me for the sake of Muhammad ﷺ and ALLAH swt enquired where did you find that from and Hadhrat Adam (as) replied i saw on your throne it said there is no god except ALLAH swt and muhammad ﷺ is his messenger, and from that i realised muhammad ﷺ must be significant.
If as you believe that imam ali where created in the same light and there names together surely hadhrat adam (as) would have said forgive me for the sake of muhammad(saw) and ali(ra)?

But just to answer your question, read qur'an 7:12. There was a covenant made with all souls before our current "existence", so that indicated that souls already existed.)
