Why don't you just go camping on mount Snowdon? Or the Yorkshire moors? Or just visit Alton Towers instead?

Coz thats just boring plus the weather is always crap in the UK. This isnt camping (dont know why they have called it that) you work with kids, get paid for it, the weathers nice and you get to spend 3 months abroad.

Have you never wanted to something different? Something adventurous?

I quit my job so I can teach english abroad, so no.

MashAllah good for you but dont you have to go to college and study 2/3 national curriculum subjects at A level then do a PGCE at uni?

no, thats to teach in a school.

EFL (English as a Foreign Language) qualifications are much easier to get.

oh right. But aint you gonna be be teaching in a school? You said your gonna be teaching english so im making the assumption its gonna be in a school.

Can you do the course online or do you have to go to some sort of centre? How many years does it take to qualify? The reason why im asking so many questions is coz i know someone who is considering it.

By school I mean state-school (like a secondary or primary). I CAN teach English in a language school (which are private).

I dunno about which colleges are in the north, but in London there are loads of English colleges that run teacher training courses.

You can get 3-month part time or 1-month intensive.

Prices range from £500-£1200

I don't think you can do it online, because part of the course is teaching practice.

For a 3 month course its expensive however, its cheaper then a degree but more expensive than a PGCE (they pay you to do a PGCE). Why do you think a lot of ppl become teachers.

There is that but come on would you pay 7k to do a course or get paid 7k to do it? Obviously how much you get paid varies depending on the kind of teacher you want to be. If you want to be a high school teacher say teaching Chemistry you get a paid more than say a nursery/primary school teacher.

Also when you start as a trainee teacher you get paid as well.

Naz if your already @ uni & your uni do the TESOL/TEFL course you should be able to do it for half the price (or less).. well thats what they do @ Sheff hallam..
