go to profile, and at the bottom there is a gallery to select an avatar. If none are appropriate then you can add an external one. As long as its small (Fresh Prince take a hint...).

All you need to di is find the url to the image, and put that in. (url to the image, not the page the image is displayed in... right click the image, click properties and copy the url in Internet explorer, in firefox, right click image and choose copy image location...)
