Revival forum personality 2007

i remember there was a poll for this every year, and dont think there has been one for the personality of 2007. the magazine had one, but this is the forum personality of the year.

vote for whoever you think deserves recognition for their contribution to the forum over the past year (which rules me out!).....its your vote. you may wish to elect someone based on their knowledgable contribution, their humour, both, anything u want really!

im starting a poll.....which will close in 3 weeks time....and i will anounce the winner too 😃

if the forumite's name isnt in the poll, just post who you think should be

free to discuss too...who you chose and why

...and i dont think LilSis can win it for the umpteenth year in a row, coz i havnt seen her on here lately.... :o

Sure. I have no idea how Sirus came up with that list in any event. I could vote for one of several on that list but we should see a lot more names - Snoopz, Angel, you, me etc. "Other" just isn't going to cut it.

The winner shouldn't have to feel tarnished by the fact that it was a limited choice.

...and Imaani and Dawud and Mez and Dave (he posted all the time for the majority of the year, and I think he even did on his one day home of the year!), and Dust and yashmaki and malik (at least for putting up with everyone jumping on every single point he makes) and everyone else. Just because someone doesn't post very often it shouldn't mean they are not considered. Its quality, not quantity (Admin wins the Quantity Award because he has over 10000 posts).

But I don't think there should be any complicated heats or nomination processes, in fact there shouldn't be a vote at all. Hasn't the history of Pakistan and the Middle-East taught you guys nothing if not that Democracy simply doesn't mix well with Muslims???

Everyone has their own personal favorites, whether one or many, or maybe even no-one at all, but why should we try to make it into some sort of contest?

I think that we should close down the poll and just hand out the prize to whoever happens to be leading at the moment.

i was only reviving a revival tradition!!

few things

1 - yes i tried putting Joi de View/100 man, Malik, Naz, MuslimBro and a few others on the list - BUT your not allowed that many options, so blame Admin for that one! I had to cut a few out

2 - Other (please state).....means you CAN vote for someone else!! you just state in your post. if a name gets enough mentions, more than the leader in the poll, they CAN win the accolade. so if you post Muslim Bro (with a eplanation if possible) enough, or any1 else, they CAN win.

3 - Like i said, that was the max number of people i could put in the poll....so i had to select a handful of regular contributors...and they were the names that came to my mind. Others mentioned...exquisite, Dave, Angel, even me, havnt posted that much for most of 2007...(i have been reading the forum whilst i wasnt posting you know)

But regardless, you can still vote them

4 - Your voting not to vote if ya dont agree. The poll will close in 20 days from now, so its up2 you. there is a prize for the winner ...not tellin tho 😃

5 - as ED said, can you state why your voting for someone? contributions made to the forum, and what that individual brings to the revival family

lol, maybe we should turn this into a candidacy campaign.

People can do speeches and kiss babies or something.

We shall have a free revival, a democratic revival.

One man one vote.

Think not, what the revival can do for you, but what you can do for the revival.

You have to vote, because the revival needs YOU.
