I remember I used to be awake till 2/3 am this was on the old old forums, it was brilliant, everyone used to be online, ie aphro/yash/dust/yuit/lilsis/MS/omro/sicky/admin (he used to be quiet then though)/seraph etc, it used to be soo lively and could post forever.
Now forum is dead and very little time on my hands, I miss the old days. I am in bed by 11pm nowadays!
Lol. I dont think I was ever online at that time - we only had one family computer at that time. Which was placed in the front room, and was nearly always occupied with dads friends after 12.
Now that I have a laptop in my bedroom and more time on more hands...I'm here later than usual. However, when I start school again in matter of days, I'm looking forward to being in bed by 11pm and up by 7am....all holidays I've been in bed by 2am and up by 10.30pm. Last night I came home from a late night dhikr at around 2am and was asleep by 3/4. And today I have a terrible headache.

but your on the website till 4 in the morning, doesnt it sound a tad sad?
The alternative view point is that it keeps ppl off the streets where they are likely to get up to no good.
Another view point is that it keeps you from precious sleep and too much typing leads to illedgible handwriting and bad speelling.(notice the spelling mistakes i made)

That was supposed to be a seperate sentence, dont remeber you or lilsis realy being online later than 11pm back the, but everyone used to post throughout the day so there was a lot to catch up on. Has lilsis got fed up with with the forums? give her my love

However another view point would be that most ppl cant sleep hence why they might be on the revival. Plus too much sleep aint good for you. The human body only requires a min of 6/7 hours sleep. As for the bad spelling and typing i think most of us can work out what someone might be trying to say (your probs the exception to that).
I woke up at 7today - after two weeks of getting up at 11. It was a shock to the system....the kids in my class - bless em were half asleep too.
I was happy that I didnt hear a peep out of them all day - they were happy that they spent the day doing meaningless writing excercises about what they did in the holidays...
But to be honest, going to sleep and waking up at a decent hour brings structure to the day. (i.e today I had lunch at 12, wheras I spent my holidays finishing my breakfast at 12).

Now I realise that all those years of writing about what I did on my holiday was just to let my teachers ease themselves back into work...
And I thought they actually cared about what I'd got up to
I care about my little darlings - but I need to be eased back into the system...thats why my day consisted off..."What do you mean ALL you did was visit your nans house, go shopping, go on holiday to Holland, visit friends and played in the park? I need more details, surely that isnt ALL that you did?"
But you think thats bad, I had to do that EVERY Monday morning when I was in school...write about what I did over the weekend.

Is that got anything to do with your sister starting a topic about 'what you did on the weekend' a few months ago?
Its the only conversation/small-talk I have with people at work (who i have NOTHING in common with):
monday/tuesday: Did you have a nice weekend/what did you do?
thusrday/friday: Got anything planned for the weekend?
On numerous occasions I've realised that I'm asking the same person again (for the second time) and they're explaining again (for the second time), and I'm not listening again (for the second time).
Its not pointless discussion with kids though - as speaking and listening is encouraged in school, to improve confidence, grammar and to get rid of their terrible cockney/chavy accent.
And its not a pointless English writing excercise.
But you're right though, whilst I rate non Muslim good manners and that...I'm sick and tired of talking about what I did or am going to do on the Weekend....I'm pretty sure they have no interest in the stuff that I do, but it doesnt stop the small talk though...and I work in a school with well over 60members of staff.
Some days I wish I only had my class to deal with and no parent/teachers or support staff...if school lunch wasnt so tasty I wouldnt even go to the staffroom.

I went to bed before midnight last night for the first time in absolutely AGES and today I feel GREAT!!
I woke up briefly at 3am, I think my body-clock is used to only having 4 hours sleep per night. Getting back to sleep was ok though and today I am Bright-Eyed and Bushy-Tailed
that would explain why the metal detectors at Manchester airport didnt go off.

Ditto,
I actually look forward to that, a little story about what I did at the weekend with some nice colourful drawings to go with it.
All this primary school talk, remaining me of my primary skool dinners. I swear they were the yummiest. Especially the puddings!
