Wow, looks really good. Loads of stuff, Admin looks like a lot of work for you there.
If I don't get the stuff I need by tomorrow, my updates on Issue 8 will look like a walk in the park...

Imaani — Mon, 24 Sep 2007 - 23:09

Lol. Oh I'm sure you'll sort it out, surely you're planning on skiving a few more days off work sometime soon, lol. If not, you'll just have to injure the other foot this time.

Is it that obvious? Whenever I skive off work a whole load of stuff gets done?

Site updated with the cover and proper links.

(those with a keen eye may notice that the cover that is on the website is different from the one in the pdf "print version".)

And that should now be fixed. I have now uploaded the "real" issue 9.
when you click on check the lastest issue under editiorial who am i, where the description bit is there are spelling errors.
Did you read the first three posts of this topic?

Any particulars? (there was a "thenm" which I fixed. Any others?)

Is no one going to comment on this issue or its contents?

My personal opinion is that this is probably the best issue we have had so far.

It has the most content for one. Secondly it is varied. thirdly the artwork is better than we have had in the past issues.

A win all round IMO.

I love the cover too. Probably the best we have had. Just go to the front page and tell me that ain't awesome.

Oh my gosh Admin I am so jealous of your avatar. That is sooo not fair!
It looks absolutely wicked!!

I like this cover a lot too, definitely one of the best ones yet. Just absolutely love the colour schemes.

easy to do. in profile put in a url for the image.

As a guide, take this:

http://www.therevival.co.uk/static/magazine/xxxxxxxx…

change the month to what it is in the magazine section. ("september2007" for issue 9) and change the issue number to the one you like ("9" for issue 9).

Then we get:

I skim read. Dont matter you got rid of half of the paragraph.

Imaani — Sat, 29 Sep 2007 - 20:56

Jazaakhallah Admin. But I think it only looks good as your avatar coz of your close association with The Revival, and also coz it's plugging the latest issue, which has a fab cover!

I've read the magazine....and its great mashallah

My fav article was the Zakat one - didnt have much of a clue before, that article was so simple - way to go noor 😉

the guns one was good, and relevant in the light of recent news

and the editorial was very very very good 😃 - not just because the last few were crap, on its own this one was good.

more pages than normal!

i do have one issue tho - i dont have a problem with the magazine bieng realistic and using every day slang - but in the Aliyah and Jameela article - the term 'five dollar ho' was inappropriate :? - thats practically teaching a new derogotary term to youngsters who would be reading the mag. i certainly havnt heard that term often enough, and even then - its a lil too far - and the few people i mentioned it to, agreed with me

other than that - great

Ali & Jamal is absolutely brilliant. Genius I think.

You can read it on the PDF versions which are all online.

You can check out the current and all previous issues here:
http://www.therevival.co.uk/magazine/

Ali & Jamal briefly return in the current issue, but their last full appearance was in Issue 6 which you can read on the link above, as well as other instalments in previous issues.
