i was on t-mob since it was called mercury (not quite...but it was 121) and it got steadily worse and worse.
my friend had problems with o2.
my sis had problems with orange.
3 is just TERRIBLE.
i like vodaphone alot now (except for the fact they sponser man U....eugh!)

I agree im on 3 and the reception is soo crap i can hear but the person on the other side cant. Previous to that i was on 02 which were really good. And ive been ripped off by my contract company
if anyone knows of any good contract companies (that dont make a habit of ripping off the their customers) let us know coz my contract is coming to an end and i dont wanna go back to pay as you go coz i spend loads and the funds are a bit limited lol.

Oh yeah, you also forgot the phone doesn't support Java.
The main problem IMO is the price. £269 and an 18 month contract. (the unlimited data is nice though. Considering the fact I rarely use my phone to talk/text to anyone, my bills are ridiculously high.)
Java is not a real problem for me as the only Java thing I used was OperaMini, but the iPhone has a built in browser (Safari)
Ofcourse if you want the best of all worlds, you could go for the OpenMoko. A nice concept that could be a killer phone. And it is totally open, so install any software you want. It should also be out for Christmas.
($450 = approx. £240 so it would be cheaper if you can get away with the import duty... and no rip off contract)

iphone is imo mainly 4 ppl who use their fne 2 use da net n 2 d/l an listen 2 music. we r gna be traind on iphone soon,dnt c wat da big fuss is! its apple make so cn be bougt via their site 2. im hapy on my staf tarif n u600 its so very prety:)

@Angel - it looks good and has a proper interweb browser. Who needs calls?
Afterall it does not have many features other phones have. Such as buttons, MMS etc.

internet wise - EDGE is supposedly faster than normal gprs. the phone also taps into wifi - more or less broadband on your phone.
Computer is easier/better unless you are on a journey/public transport or something.
