New Islamic Comedy series on youtube. Check it out people :-)

Salaam people!

I've come across a delightful comedy series with a really good underlying Islamic moral at the end. It's called Fresher Than Your Average on youtube. They have released 3 episodes so far, each getting better. Check them out. I've pasted the link for Episode 3 (the latest episode) below.

i agree with the message of the video but it doesn't make sense. how can you tell people to lower their gaze while showing fitnah in the video itself, bit of a contradiction don't you think?

i have seen so many videos doing the same thing, it doesn't make any sense at all. if they could show them them whats right without showing them the wrong way that would be beter

Salaam bro,

I feel in today's society and with today's youth you need to get people to relate and connect with the subject. It is common for girls to be dressed like this in day to day school, college or uni life and for boys to chase girls. Now if the girls were covered in Hijab head to toe, would the story have the same kind of impact? Today's youth need something to engage them otherwise they lose interest too quickly and find it boring. I think its a really good idea to merge comedy with a good moral message as it allows youngsters to enjoy as well as learn. And its not something that is out of the norm, they encounter such instances in there day to day lives.

saying all that might just make it sound like it's a good thing and im not saying it does'nt work. at the end of the day what they are doing is haram and is just as bad as when brothers chase these girls.

like i said right message but wrong way of portraying it.

salaam.

I personally think it's the best way to portray the message to today's youth. It's a sad fact but kids these days won't watch Islamic videos and documentaries unless it's funny or entertaining. And I believe these videos really hit home with their messages.

w.salam

in my opinion its like me committing a crime and then going to jail just to show people the effects of committing a crime, it doesn't make sense. it make no sense in my head to commit a sin to show it is a sin.

surely there must be a better way to portray a good message to people without sending a bad message at the same time.
