Abused by their own children

Beaten and abused, but what if the bully is your own child? Many parents are living in fear of their children, but are too ashamed to ask for help, says a leading British charity. Why?

Threatened with a knife by a 14-year-old girl - it could be a disturbing headline from any national newspaper. But what if it happened in your own home and the teenager wielding the weapon was your own daughter?

Parents are regularly being threatened, abused, even beaten up by their own children, says a UK parental guidance charity. Many have reached the point where they are afraid to be left alone in the house with them.

Don't know by everyone else, but I found this surprising and shocking.

"For too long, we have been a passively tolerant society, saying to our citizens 'as long as you obey the law, we will leave you alone'" - David Cameron, UK Prime Minister. 13 May 2015.

yh i read that on bbc few days ago, not surprising tho i mean it happens quite alor these days for kids to get their own way and to control their parents especially if their in a households where theres been divorce. I remember this show on tv couple years ago where parents called in a specialist to teach them how to control their kids lol was kinda funnt the way kids have tantrums and parents take a step back lol.

I did come across ages ago about parents who are bullied by their own children.

I ead about how children who are spoilt through their childhood and then abuse their parents for more. It was mostly between Mothers and their sons.

But this is different...threatening your parents with knives??

it can eventually lead to that threatning behaviour though, but it may just be parents own fault if you beat your kids , one day when there old enough to form the idea of fighting back in their minds they'l do just that - physical abuse to their parents for them will become revenge.................but still not at all right

I doubt if it is that - especially in this day and age, where very few parents will punish their kids through physical means (or at all).

Yes Smile I read that too. I was referring to what I had read ages ago that sons tend to me more violent and find it easier to threaten their mothers.
