Former FBI translator Sibel Edmonds dropped a bombshell on the Mike Malloy radio show, guest-hosted by Brad Friedman (audio, partial transcript).
In the interview, Sibel says that the US maintained ‘intimate relations’ with Bin Laden, and the Taliban, “all the way until that day of September 11.”
These ‘intimate relations’ included using Bin Laden for ‘operations’ in Central Asia, including Xinjiang, China. These ‘operations’ involved using al Qaeda and the Taliban in the same manner “as we did during the Afghan and Soviet conflict,” that is, fighting ‘enemies’ via proxies.
As Sibel has previously described, and as she reiterates in this latest interview, this process involved using Turkey (with assistance from ‘actors from Pakistan, and Afghanistan and Saudi Arabia’) as a proxy, which in turn used Bin Laden and the Taliban and others as a proxy terrorist army.

So... do you think there is any truth in there?
this is old news, and yes i think there's much truth in it, there's too much evidence, and too many insiders speaking about it.
“O my people! Truly, this life of the world is nothing but a (quick passing) enjoyment, and verily, the hereafter that is the home that will remain forever.” [Ghafir : 39]
This is slightly different from the older ones I think - the older "versions" were that at one point OBL worked for the CIA. But this broke off after the end of the soviet invasion of Afghanistan.
Also that parties in the US had talks with the Taliban (but not with alqaeda) all the way til the end.
However this is suggesting that there was a continued relationship right up til that very day.
How much truth there is in there and what that means - no idea.
