Chinese milk scam duo face death

Two men have been given the death penalty for their involvement in China's contaminated milk scandal.

The former boss of the Sanlu dairy at the centre of the scandal was given life imprisonment.

They were among several sentences handed down by the court in northern China, where Sanlu is based.

I can see both sides.

If the punishment is not harsh, others may try to do the same thing - and on this occasion it cost lives.

On he other hand I doubt they deliberately set out to kill people.

Any sentence would be one that could be questioned as there are multiple aspects to it.

yeah, true, i suppose. This punishment can be an example to others who try the same thing.
But the number of people who got ill from it is enormous!
