Firebrand Professor at Oxford University agrees
with hardline Muslim Ulema that God will burn most Britons in the fire of Hell.
What do you brothers and sisters think?
Do you believe that 95 percent of people in UK will end up in Hell?
Just imagine media response if some Muslim Ulemas has declared such a thing. I am sure that all hell would have broken loose about how fanatical and intolerant Islam is and how extremists Muslims are.

I am humbled that he thought himself capable of such a judgement.

All the way to jannah
I agree with that.
The media, government, tried to blow us, but they can't out the flame, or doubt the name.
I didnt read maliks post fully, i'm sure he was quoting the priest?!

i believe that the priest is right that most people face hell... people must choose heaven by making the correct choices in their lives...

Imam Ghazali (RA) gives a division of mankind into four categories.
1 - the 'damned' (Al-Halikun): those wholly given over to the world, who have denied God and His Prophets, and who shall remain eternally in hellfire.
2 - the 'punished' (Al-Mu'adhdhabun): those who have the basis of faith but have failed to act in accordance therewith., who shall abide in Hell until the Prophets sent to their respective communities intercede on their behalf.
3 - the 'saved' (Al-Najun): - those with neither good nor evil works for which they might be justly be called to account (such as madmen, the children of unbelievers, and those never reached by a prophetic summons). They will occupy a limbo known as Al-A'raf [1]
4 - the 'victorious' (Al-Fa'izun): those who are the companions of the right hand (ashab al-yamin) praised in the Quran, and who have their abode in Heaven, and who includer among their ranks a smaller elect, the 'ones brought nigh' (Al-Muqarrabun). Regarding the last type mentioned, Al-Muqarrabun, they will be blessed with the beautific vision:
"What these people shall encounter lies beyond the limits of language (yujawizu hadd al-bayan). That which is possible to say has already been said in the Quran, for there is no discourse higher than that of God. And that which cannot be expressed in this world has been summed up in His (SWT) statement:
I have prepared for My righteous bondsmen that which no eye has seen, no ear heard, and which has never occurred to mortal mind. [2]
and
"Those who forsake their beds to cry unto their Lord in fear and hope, and spend of what We have bestowed upon them - no soul knoweth what is kept hidden for them of joy (qurrat a'yun), as a reward for what they used to do. [3]
This station constitutes the aspiration o the gnostics (Al-'Arifun). The gnostic's aim is to attain to this station, which cannot be imagined by mortal mind in this world. As regards the houris and the palaces, the fruit and the milk and the honey, the wine, the jewellery and the bracelets: these people have no yearning for them, and would take no pleasure in them were they given to them.
They seek nothing save delight of gazing into the noble Countenance of God (SWT), which is the utmost of happiness, and the greates of joys.
[1] - According to one Hadith, the people of al-A'raf will ultimately enter Heaven through the intercession of the Blessed Prophet (SAW).
[2] - Bukhari, chapter of Tawhid. No. 35; Muslim, chapter of Jannah. No. 4
[3] - Quran, Surah 62: Verse 17
The Lover is ever drunk with love;
He is free, he is mad,
He dances with ecstasy and delight.
Caught by our own thoughts,
We worry about every little thing,
But once we get drunk on that love,
Whatever will be, will be.

Was reading that today in The Rememberance of Death and the Afterlife (Ghazali), and i thouht of this thread, so i decided to type it up. Basically, to give more of an insight as to where we are all (not just the britons!) heading once death inevitabley comes knocking
The Lover is ever drunk with love;
He is free, he is mad,
He dances with ecstasy and delight.
Caught by our own thoughts,
We worry about every little thing,
But once we get drunk on that love,
Whatever will be, will be.

Salaam
I took that directly from the introduction (by T.J. Winters) of Imam Ghazali's works and that was what Imam Ghazali said....when it comes up in the main text i will get the reference if possible inshallah.
However, do read footnote number one - According to one Hadith, the people of al-A'raf will ultimately enter Heaven through the intercession of the Blessed Prophet (SAW).
The Lover is ever drunk with love;
He is free, he is mad,
He dances with ecstasy and delight.
Caught by our own thoughts,
We worry about every little thing,
But once we get drunk on that love,
Whatever will be, will be.
