Well, have now converted the database to the new system.

1. Any new members since about 10pm yesterday will need to re-register.
2. Any posts since about that same time yesterday will not be present in the new system.
3. Any members that had not made any posts by that time will also be deleted.
I will put a link up for preliminary testing soon.

1. The theme. I am using the default atm.
2. Change. Not many people like change unless ti is obviously for the better for them. This should be much much better for me. For anyone else the changes will not be a rewarding in the short term - many of the features will be disabled.
3. The signatures. This will be fixed, but atm they are [part of the post and not separate.

woo hooo! admin has finally done some work :shock:
It is time consuming. Very time consuming. I started last night before 10pm. (not sure how long).
Now all I need to do is upload the database to the webhosts (doing it atm), test a few things and then allow others to test a few other things.
Still got a long way to go, but atleast the step of converting the database is done.
@Seraph: do you know how to make a favico? I think ti is about time we had one...

-The CSS seems to be off. The posts dont stay within the boxes.
-Cant see any Emoticons when posting.
-When quoting another member their posts just seems to float in the middle of yours rather than being contained in a box.
-Theres no avatars.
-Does not allow you to edit old posts (it allows u to edit the latest post but not the one before that).
-Each new 'reply' post contains my signiture in the comment. So i have to delete that before typing anything new as it will then post doubles of the signiture in the comment box and the one its supposed to attach to each of my posts by default.

To access the latest posts you have to go via page 1 of the given topic and scroll to the bottom. There is no list of page numbers at the top or on the homepage and the latest post isn't hyperlinked.
The subject line automatically grabs the first few words of the post and can't be edited. You need a text box for the subject line.
The smiley colours are awfully dull.
The bit that says "current site" should probably read "magazine".
Earlier it was loading slowly but it might have been at this end. It does seem quite fast.

I think these smileys are fine. Complicated or big smileys end up looking naff, and we can always borrow special occasion smileys from elsewhere.
Subject line or no subject line is better than what it did earlier. I note you've dealt with that now.
I was going to suggest enabling a bbcode embedding feature such as [youtube] but on reflection you'd get worse spam.

Couldn't get a decent logo in, so I went for white!

The pale blue stripe separating the header from the white background makes sense graphically but it looks like a weird intrusion on the header. Maybe it would look better thinner, or not there, or maybe you can plug the space to the left beneath "The Revival" with the "Voice" strapline or some neat round hyperlinked icons for the magazine, newsblog and contact.

At the top of every topic is a button that says "edit" that I presume is for the mods.
The topics are still a bit unsurfable, being as one always has to click on page 1 and scroll to the bottom for the most recent post, and having posted it always returns to page 1 instead of the most recent.
