Death of Uthman (ra)

Brutally murdered with his blood falling on the Qur'anic ayah "but Allah will suffice thee as against them" SubhanAllah.

The story about the date ouch at the end - the guy should clarify the story. The pouch was cut/opened on that day and then no more dates came from it.

It may have been at the occasion of the martyrdom of Hadhrat Uthman (ra), but there is no need to ommit facts to make the history feel more compelling.

Subhanallah! It's true that these days alot of muslims don't put any value on another muslims life.

One question though, can anyone explain to me why the rebels were after Uthman (ra)? What was the state of the ummah at that like?

Lets reunite the ummah under one flag LA ILAHA IL ALLAH MUHAMMADUR RASULULLAH

well, he was the 4th caliph, so alot of the companions of the prophet (pbuh) were dead or elsewhere. He was trying his best and he should have been obeyed whatever he did as long as it didnt go against Allah. but people werent happy with that.

why the rebel were after Uthman (ra)? because he WAS the khalif (?)

I read a book about the caliphs...ive forgotten it all...

Is it true? Is it kind? Is it necessary?

the first hand to write the quran??? really?? so where does it say that the caliph was a quran hafiz?? what about abu bakar he had ordered Ali ibn abu talib that he could not leave the city as when the christians and jews and idol worshippers asked questions he could not answer the only one who could go of quran revealation and give the right answere it was only Ali ibn abu talib so how did uthman become the first to write the quran fabricated lies... give me some evidence please...

oh and it says these verses were revealed on the death of uthman was revelation still being revealed after the prophets s.a.w.w death come on where is your logic get real people...

ok it actually fell on the quran literally..fair enough but i still dont believe uthman wrote the whole quran and people try to make him out to be so great by false hadith even the angels part get real he buried his daughter..

That was Umar(ra)

@Lilly, Uthman (ra) was the third caliph, not fourth.

Whoa, the sahabah of Rasulallah Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam (Peace and Blessings be upon him) went through so much, they sacrificed so much...

It makes me sad. I wish we were strong like Uthmaan (ra) and Umar ibn Khatab(ra) and Summayah (ra).

Death is the end of time. Not the end of Life.

+1

I think we have the Abu jahals and the abu lahabs of this era but where are the khalid ibn waleeds and the Abu bakrs (may Allah be pleased with them) of this era?

Subhanallah. Insha Allah there are great people amongst us. May Allah guide us all. Ameen

From a Shia:

His corrupt policies led the common man to stand up against him, siege his house and kill him. He gave high governmental positions and ranks to his own people (ummayds such as muawiya, marwan etc) whilst the common man was literally dying due to poverty

So I guess, some people just didn't trust/like him :/

everyone was pretty unanimous at the time that the assasination was wrong.

different reasonings were given like a century or two later and did not exist at the time.

So why the battle of the camel? :S

question of justice now or later.

Should the assasins be hunted dopwn now, or hunted down once order has been restored.

as for reasons, the Muslims had just conquered totally two separate empires and there were problems integrating them along with sabotage by people who previously had power in those places.

Both places also had had hereditary leadership before then, and leadership that was not hereditary was unthinkable to those people.
