this lecture is about patience, check it out!

the dua he mentions in the end is:

"Definitely we are from Allah and to Him is our return. O Allah, grant reward in my calamity and grant in its place a good substitute".

ps: when exactly is the last third of the night??

"Verily, in the remembrance of Allah, do hearts find rest"

You really seem to like his lectures huh???
Yeah I used to listen to music I say used to because there was a time that i did, but I always had this weird feeling telling me that it was wrong.
I have changed Alhamdulillah. I now listen to the nasheeds with only the drum thingies as the background, because I have heard listening to music with background (piano, gutar etc) is wrong and listening to the music that makes u think bad things and that contains swearwords is gunnah.
Patience. During times of deep trial, despair, and sadness, Muslims seek comfort and guidance in the words of Allah swt in the Qur'an. Allah swt reminds us that all people will be tried and tested in life, and calls upon Muslims to bear these trials with "patient perseverance and prayer." Indeed, Allah reminds us that many people before us have suffered and had their faith tested; so too will we be tried and tested in this life.There are so many times that patience is mentioned in the quran. As Muslims, we should not let our emotions get the better of us. It is certainly difficult for a person to look at the tragedies of the world today and not feel helpless and sad. But believers are called to put their trust in their Lord, and not to fall into despair or hopelessness. We must continue to do what Allah has called us to do: put our trust in Him, perform good deeds, and stand as witnesses for justice and truth.

"It is not righteousness that you turn your faces towards East or West.
But it is righteousness to believe in Allah and the Last Day,
And the Angels, and the Book, and the Messengers;
To spend of your substance, out of love for Him,
For your kin, for orphans, for the needy,
for the wayfarer, for those who ask, and for the ransom of slaves;
To be steadfast in prayer
And give in charity;
To fulfill the contracts which you have made;
And to be firm and patient, in pain and adversity
And throughout all periods of panic.
Such are the people of truth, the God-fearing.
(THIS WAS SOMETHING THAT I LERANT FROM THE QURAN, NOT ME WRITING THIS)

the last third of the night.. mathematically speaking, what i've been doing is, take the hours between after isha and before fajr, divide by three. then minus that number from fajr time, that bit should inshaAllah fall into the last third of the night. SO if you wake up an hour/half an hour before Fajr time, yep yep! go ahead and pray! coz its the last third of the night (i think) (i should really chek this out...)

Is it true? Is it kind? Is it necessary?

No your previous thoughts were correct and your calculations probably are too.
