So the Convoy left from London on the 18th Of September & has made it's way around Europe & into the Gulf. The Land convoy is now waiting in Latikia. They have been waiting on a campsite they set up there for nearly two weeks waiting for the green light to sail into Egypt.

They will set sail to Al Arish on Monday Morning. However, Egypt have now banned 17 people from travelling. They include 10 survivors from the Mavi Mamara, one of whom is a 83 year old man.

5 British people, and 10 from Jordan.

There are over 400 people from 30 different countries & 150 vehicles full of aid.

Pray for the success of this convoy. They are nearly at the final hurdle. The Raffah border isn't very far & our dua's can only help them.

May Allah(swt) grant them success in their mission & get this aid to those in Gaza who need it the most. & inspire others to do the same not only to help those in Gaza but other places in the world that the need help. Ameen.

A Leicester boy has achieved a perfect 10, as he celebrated a very special birthday.

Bin Laden goes green to exploit Pakistan flood aid frustrations

Advocates of action to combat climate change have a new champion, though it is unlikely they will be inviting him to campaign on their behalf any time soon. He is Osama bin Laden, the leader of al-Qai'da, the terrorist group that has specialised in a brand of global destruction all of its own.

Bin Laden is heard focusing on the issue of greenhouse emissions in a new audio tape that surfaced yesterday on several Islamic militant websites. "The number of victims caused by climate change is very big," he expounds on the tape, "bigger than the victims of wars."

Adopting what might almost be an avuncular tone, bin Laden also asks for the creation of a new development organisation to help Muslim communities in countries like Pakistan which is still suffering from the impact of this summer's devastating floods.

Some news outlets recently reported that the UN had decided to appoint an ambassador to extra terrestrial life "out there", and as a coup to the Muslim community, this ambassador was to be a Malaysian Muslim called Mazlan Othman.

This sent bookmakers scampering, seeing it as a sign expecting there to be human alien contact to be soon and some even lowered the odds of first contact being in the next year down to much lower odds.

Alas, this story is too good to be true and has since been denied.

A few days back I travelled to Batamaloo neighbourhood in Srinagar, the capital city of Indian-controlled Kashmir. Coils of barbed wire blocked the desolate roads; thousands of Indian soldiers patrolled the streets to enforce a strict military curfew. I couldn't reach the man I wanted to meet and finally managed to speak to him on the phone.

On 2 August Fayaz Rah, a 39-year-old fruit vendor from Batamaloo, had lunch with his wife and three children. Outside, Indian troops enforced the curfew. Yet the children would find a clearing or a courtyard to play cricket or imitate the adults and raise a slogan for Kashmir's independence from India. His youngest son, eight-year-old Sameer, took two rupees for pocket money from his father and stepped out to join his friends near his uncle's house.

First, it was offensive and insensitive to build an Islamic center two blocks away from Ground Zero. Now it's offensive and insensitive to publish photos of American Muslims peacefully praying, on or around 9/11.

The Portland Press Herald has apologized to its readers for publishing images of Muslims celebrating the end of Ramadan, which this year coincided with the 9/11 anniversary. Among the outrageous statements that the accompanying article made: that Portland-era Muslims met to mark the end of the month-long holy fast, that they made a traditional call for charity, and that children played soccer.

Police have shot dead 18 civilians in the deadliest day in Indian-administered Kashmir since protests erupted three months ago.

A policeman was also killed when he was run over by a lorry.

The BBC's Altaf Hussain in Srinagar says reports of Koran desecration in the US have stoked anger.

Scores of Kashmiris have now died since June, when anti-India protests broke out after police shot dead a teenager.
