Are Asian girls high maintenance?

I think a better question would be "Are girls high maintenance?" cuz I don't see what would make Asians potentially more high maintenance than others.

And I think it depends on the person, what they want, what they feel they deserve. I guess it would depend on a person's definition of 'high maintenance' too?

They can be when they want to be... very confusing & hard to please

Not really.

'Asian girls' defines the cultural/religious/social values that they have grown up with which is different to other girls from other areas of the world.

I don't see what the matter is with focusing on the term: 'asian'.

Is there anything wrong with high maintenance and would you want your own daughter to be of high maintenance?

I know what it defines and I don't think that matters.

I think a person's socio-economic background and class has more to do with it.

People will always have standards but I wouldn't bring up my daughters to want tooooo much. If they do want it, they gotta work for it, and not expect it handed to them.

Agree... also yes girls are high maintenance. Too much effort.

Having standards doesn't necessarily mean you're high maintenance.

I don't think I know anything about you to judge whether you're high maintenance or not.

In the asian community outdoors stuff is often expected to be done by "the men".

So that is higher maintenance than where the girl can just go out and get the milk herself.

Simple things, and not one of being of a demanding nature, but its "higher maintenance" than otherwise.

Ofcourse there are checks and balances for that too, where the men sometimes get to not move a finger inside the house but this topic isnt about that.

welll.... sometimes at the end of a long school day, with a bag full of heavy textbooks, i see my shoelace undone and what do i say? "i need a husband". is that high maintenance?

well...just before..while i was putting my books in my bag and felt the weight of it i also said "i need a husband".

hmmm...i use that expression so often that now its been shorten to "INAH".

is that high maintenance?

edit: right now i wouldnt mind a husband...i really cannot be bothered to go bring the laundry back in...

in reply to Silence, well..the probability of having a long school/work day AND a heavy bag AND wearing shoes that have laces AND the laces being undone right at the end of the day IS pretty low... SO it shouldnt happen too often me think 😉 oh i forgot AND being tired.

edit: all those probabilities are timed together that a tiny number. then there's GIVEN that i am married. i think we're going in nano numbers...

I think we need to define some terms here- 'high maintenance'. The maintenance box would include different things to girls from different cultures/religion/socio-economic background that ultimately shape their mindsets. You have to ask questions like- What do these girls want from their life? What are the essential pre-requisites for them to be happy? Therefore, it would be whittle down to a very personal attitude. Bracketing Asian girls as high maintenance just creates the wrong stereotypes and attempting to answer that question is more like trying to answer 'Do they prefer mansions or castles'? LOL!
