The Angel Of Death Is Never Late

My Life Shimmered Like Glistening Stars In The Dark Night Sky

As I Slept Peacefully,

Unaware That It Was Time For My Happiness To Die

There I Was Beautifying Each Dream With Complete Concentration

How Was I To Know They Were Shattering..

And Arriving Was Devastation

A Heartbreaking Scream Brought Me Back To Reality

I Rushed Downstairs..But Sadly Only To See..

My Mum In Tears, Screaming My Brothers Name

She Sat There Helplessly Clutching A Photo Frame

"Why Is Everyone Crying?!" I Yelled Impatiently

The Answer Was In Their Eyes, Had I Lost A Part Of Me??

To The Hospital We Rushed As I Held Back My Pain

I Clutched His Hand Tight, His Tears Flowed Like Rain

People Were Surrounding, Prayers Were Loud

I Smiled Reassuringly, Not Part Of That Crowd

My Heart Slowly Breaking, Last Breaths He Was Taking

Even Then I Thought He Wont Go, Even Then My Tears Didn't Flow

I Didn't Know He Was Breathing His Last

Didn't Know I'd Be Left With Just His Past

He Let Go Of My Hand, He Was No Longer Awake

I Couldn't Speak, I Felt My Heart Break

The Desperate Screams Of My Mum Arose

Everyone Knew His Heartbeats Had Froze

In His Abandoned Bedroom I Spent That Whole Night

Thinking About His Funeral, I Shivered With Fright

There He Was Wrapped In White

Sleeping Like A Baby

I Hugged My Mum Tight..

Tears, Cries, So Much Shattered Hope

Watching My Loved Ones Like This

I Struggled To Cope..

Now Was Really His Time To Go

To Leave Our World

In Deep Sorrow

Locked In A Box, Deep Underground

Footsteps Faded, Left Without A Sound

From ALLAH We Come And To Him We Return

This Separation Had Left A Mark Like A Burn

Where Would He Be Now, And In What State

Indeed The Angel of Death Is Never Late

Everything Was Everywhere, The Truth Was So Hard To Bear

In The Morning When I'd Woke Him Up For Fajr, He Mumbled And Went Back To Sleep

In Ramadan Out Of 30 Fasts, Not Many Did He Try To Keep

The Qur'an He Never Recited, Like Most He Backbited

Now He Lies In His Grave Wishing He Had Prayed And Prayed

Wishing He Had One More Chance

Promising From Deen He Wouldn't Fade

But It's Too Late Now, It's His Turn To Wait

To Wait For Judgement Day

Wait For His Fate

DEATH - The Only Guarantee In Life, Have YOU Prepared???
