s.b.f.... Allah subhanahu wa t'ala causes them to deviate even further from the truth.
Why?
Those who reject Allah, Allah lifts his mercy from them and the doors of mercy are closed - he ceases providing opportunities to them to be guided, facilitates their paths towards the misguidance they have chosen etc... They still have choice whether to believe or not...
