Noun

Sod's law

Sod's law (uncountable)

1. (slang) the principle that what can go wrong, will go wrong, usually with some observed degree of irony

Orrrr

You do the work thinkin its in the next day, then turns out, isn't for another week, but if you hadn't have done it, it would have been deadline day today

Who knew there was a term for it ^_^
I've never heard of it till today, Must be an Irish thing x]

You hear of it a lot in uni I think - when your pc/laptop starts to misbehave just before you finish an assignment, printer stops working just before deadline, your data becoems corrupted after you have done most of the work needed etc...

Yepp, i thought that'd happened to me the other day when the computer spontaneously just rebooted itself,

But then Window's recovery very politely asked me if i wanted to keep the documents that got closed without being saved when the computer was turned off

I was VERY relieved.

Even though i hadn't written more than a couple of sentences x]

Sod's law..thats enough to make me laugh for a while...i mean..SOD?? LOL
unfortunatly is has never happened that i did a work thinking its for tomorrow and it was for next week..for me..its usually due in tomorrow =/

what happens to me most often is i start off REALLY early and do so much, ahead of everyone, and end up finishing after everyone, i wonder if there is a name for it, Argh's law?
