That page does not exist.

Shameful I say.

Anyone wanna volunteer?

It has already been marked for deletion once and I contested (and removed) that notice, therefore can I advise that anyone who can expand the article with useful information about the magazine's history etc do so ASAP to give Wiki readers and editors a better understanding than I can.

Where's that?! I can't see it.

All I can see is what I wrote: "The Revival is a free quarterly British magazine aimed at young Muslims.", and the deletion notice, which I mustn't remove this time. Can I suggest that Admin, Ed and others connected with the magazine add their own edits (you just click on the edit tab, you don't need an account), and also that they follow the link given in the deletion notice if they wish to make a case for its inclusion.

Personally I think The Revival has been around long enough and probably has a strong enough presence in its market to warrant inclusion but I don't have the info to make that point with much emphasis.

What is the circulation?

What a wicked idea!!

Someone just needs to sort it out now...

I can add a bit. But what I write would probably be more suitable for [url=...

Anything in particular that I should add?

Thanks Joie de Vivre for getting the ball rolling...

Yeah thanks Joie de Vivre.

Can you please add something about the beginning, the very, very beginning... how it all started and why.

We'll have to ask 'Ed for that.

My pleasure.

Main thing I want to sort out is this whole "Does it really exist" and "Is it substantial" issue.

I have been rollocked before for giving out distribution figures, so that will have to be left to others. (besides I am not too sure what we are hitting atm - I don't really understand the need for secrecy.)

From wikipedia:

Quote:
Founded by editor Sajid Iqbal in the late 1990s, it began as a newsletter printed in Oldham and was soon being distributed throughout the country.

It should probably be changed to

Quote:
The Revival was co-founded by Current editor Sajid Iqbal in the spring of 1996 as a four page black and white newsletter to be distributed in Oldham.

The newsletter saw massive expansion, initially to manchester, then the northwest, and finally the UK before it folded onto itself. In May 2005, The Revival was relaunched as a national Magazine.

If you check back you'll see I've cited the figure of 15,000 given in the BBC article and also added a website stat, and tidied it up a bit. To be honest for the time being it doesn't require much more although it might not be 100% wikified yet. (I had to see how other articles were done for stuff like the refs. How good am I?)

We relaunched in May 2005.

We were silent from 2002 to 2005 except for the website.

Apart from that, thanks for cutting my workload. I will leave my edits for a while so as not to cross while making them.

EDIT - oops we relaunched in may 2005 post corrected.

"For too long, we have been a passively tolerant society, saying to our citizens 'as long as you obey the law, we will leave you alone'" - David Cameron, UK Prime Minister. 13 May 2015.

I've added that. I'll leave it to you for now - something about the radio show?

 • It can never be satisfied, the mind, never. -- Wallace Stevens

Let's talk Show. Anyone know any details? I think It was in Rochdale first, then Oldham, finally online? not too sure though.

You know, I have been doing Sales for about 3 years now, but I have never attempted to "Sell" The Revival (or anything else for that matter unless it is a part of my job). A shame really, as it is good to collate all the info in one place.

yeah, kick up a fuss without actually contributing. Lol

I have not added much myself.

Think of this as a community advertisement campaign. Get out name out there. Without costing us money or ad space like the other suggestions.

EDIT - I have added those references from
