Them whabis are not that bad

Jihad means struggle, tell him to shout ‘struggle’ instead of jihad…

Tell the guy to lighten up…

Don’t get annoyed/embarrassed/frustrated with him, laugh at him instead. Life can be a comedy or a tragedy it depends on how you look at it…

IMO your cousin sounds funny 😂 …

I don’t understand the name of the thread “Muslim wanna bees”

Is it someone who wants to be a Muslim but will never be in reference to your statement “trying to be religious”. Like the term ‘wannabe Gs’ (i.e. not the real (original) gangsters - those who aspire (copy) to be but will never be).

I hope this term “Muslim wanna bees” does not catch on as it can cause a lot more confusion. It could lead to calling them ‘optimistic’ hypocrites (i.e. they’re not really Muslims but fakes who sincerely like to be Muslims. (???Sounds very paradoxical))

Anyway I would agree there is much misunderstanding by many ‘madhabis’ (those who follow one of the four madhahabs) about who is a wahabi (aka ‘la madhabi’) and who is not. Wahabi is not a derogatory term but it is obvious that your cousin is using it in that intent. In fact la madhabis do not like the term wahabi as they think it its an insult to one of Allah azza wa jallas Names. Its better to say la madhabi. Like the word kaffir (no-Muslims) its better to say ghair-Muslim.

If you are truly sincere to help your cousin then it requires given him lot more attention and appreciation. If he is indeed trying to become a good Muslim then you must show appreciation and agreement. You must also look into yourself if there are any misunderstandings on your part. It’s also better to invite a non-relative knowledgeable brother to discus with him.

The term Jihad has also become a controversy since the days of colonisation. Many have opted deliberately for the linguistic meaning of struggle (jahada) so to avoid being associated with barbaric and indiscriminate killings of human life.

Salam 2 all dear Brothers and Sisters, I am ALi (Hayder Sabri's Bro) its my first time on this forum. Just want 2 elaborate 2 you bro's and sisters that my cousin has a very wild sense of humour (He actualy thinks he is so funny and entertaining!) what he doesnt realise is that he is making A COMPLETE FALSE STAEMENT WHEN HE SAY'S I SLANDER AT WAHAB'iS. I CLEARLY SAY THAT WAHABI'S ALONG WITH ALL THE MUSLIM UMMAH ARE LIKE MY BRO'S & SISTERS, MOTHERS AN FATHERS ETC. I RESPECT ALL MAINSTREAM MUSLIM JUS LIKE YOU GUY'Z. i hav no rite 2 slander jihad or holy war etc....I am not an extremist or mad head. I FULLY UNDERSTAND SHAYKH-UL-ISLAM'S CONCEPTS AND TEACHINGS. I WAS AT AL-HIDAYAH CAMP IN JULY. I WOULD SAY IT WAS THE BEST EXPERIENCE IN MY LIFE SO FAR....(INSHALA I HOPE 2 SEE OUR DEAR PROFESSOR WHEN WE GET THE PLEASURE OF HIM STAYING AT OUR HOUSE). fURTHERMORE i dearly love shaikh ul islam, words cant describe my effection for the man who changed my life. i had the honur of having his honurable "Shiekh" Hat resting on my scarf during maghrib prayer on the 2nd day of the camp.

So dear brothers & sisters, i jus wanted my name 2 be cleared FOR A FALSE, IMMATURE & WEAK CLAIM MADE BY MY DEAR COUSIN KASIM RASUL. (mAY ALLAH GUIDE ME FURTHERMORE ON THE PATH OF AL-HIDAYAH & MAY ALLAH (SWT) BLESS KASIM WITH GREATER WISDOM AND HIDAYA) (INSHALA).

w/SALA'M

no one likes a Muslim who cusses others 24/7

i was playing cards with my cousins

only to hear my other cousin say that playing cards and using the dice is "blasphemous"

I was putting on eyeliner and even that was blasphemous

my baby sister wanted to wear a bindi to a wedding we were going to-

we never let her cos it was making her look like a hindu

my cousin told us that bindi's are "blasphemous"

people need to get clear with their accusations

just like the way people ascribe shirk to stuff that aint even shirk

Everyone should be a “Muslim Wannabe” (i.e aspire to become religious). This should be our aim/goal in life.

Of course, in our haste to reform and become a better Muslim we shouldn’t embrace a harsh, critical, condemning attitude towards those whom we may think are “misguided”....this just gives Islam a bad name.

Gentleness is Fard (obligatory) for every Muslim, more so for those who do Dawah to Islam.

Look Kaz. You dont write the four after the twenty. It should be two and four. Twenty four. 24.

Got it ?

Now write it out 100 times.

It seems you need help first.
