Chocolate made in europe is Haraam. Chocolate in the UK is halaal (though many companies have argued in court that it is not strictly chocolate as it does not contain a vital ingredient which is an animal extract).

there's no demand for this halal chocolate we already have lots of suitable choc just look for the veggy sign
Also sorry to put a damper on things but i've got a hunch..women's intuition if you like that those halal chocolate bars will be inferior in taste to the veggy ones already available to me. I'll give it a go but i don't expect it to taste as good as the well known brands.

i knw what you mean, are they the same company who did makkah cola,Qibla cola etc it went off with a bang first huge amount of sales, but it all died down after a bit,i think it will be the same for the chocolate bar

Well, I'll also rely on your intution.
Too many companies try to guilt trip you to go for inferior quality.

i never drank qibla cola just coz i don't drink fizzy drinks but is it inferior to the brand names?
I was always put off by the names couldn't they come up with something more i dunno innovative why the names qibla and macca cola kinder distasteful in my eyes :? Wonder what this chocolate bar is called....

erm no it shows they're a greedy corporate giant. Don't be lulled into a false sense of security. Don't ever become "loyal" to one particular supermarket chain coz that's when they suck you in and take all ya money. No i'm not mad lol you miss out on offers, vouchers etc if you stick to just one particular chain. ppl often stick to one supermarket thinking it's always offering them the best prices, products, and rewards but this isn't the case. Each supermarket has offers every other week, some better than others.
So Tesco isn't your friend they're your enemy. Know your enemy well 😉
p.s they're launching in the USA soon, i reckon they'll do very well there aswell.

Well i quite liked Qibla cola and Miranda fizzy drink. Thats all we had last Ramadhan, every1 was drinking them here, they even had cans and them other smallish bottle types.
Yeah sis ur right ther isnt any demand for it, but if they want to put it on ther shelvs, then so be it! I think it'll taste like foreign chocolate, but some foreign chocs are nice.

soon they gonna have 'halal' buses for the muslims too.
This is their plan, though some of them do not realise. Filter us out and make seperation catered...slowly.

I dont really see what the problem is here, if they want to sell halal chocolates then let them, whats wrong with that.
Im sure they already sell halal meat and stuff ther or halal chicken burgers or sumthing like that.
Or that may be at sainsburys.

I have always believed that gelatine was and is haram but after reading an article (below) from the muslim weekly, I'm starting to get doubts whether it's really halal or haram. This is because lots of food and sweets, such as jelly contain gelatine. What's your views on this?
We must be careful when we call things haram because it is a form of thulm (oppression). Scholars have said that it is worse that you make something halal to haram than making something haram to halal.
i didnt know chocolate had to be cut in a halal manner.
There isnt a problem as such...its good to know that muslim namebrands are being taken into highstreet shops... but there are already products which can be eaten without the halal sign...and sudenly when one brand is made by muslims and branded the 'halal' version... it suddenly becomes the muslim equivalent? Do we really have to seperate it all?
Just a Q. At the end of the day geting food produce from practicing muslims is the best though.

Has M&M's and Skittles become halal again??? craving to eat them !!! Talking about the Halal choco tesco produced in 06 Ive never seen em in store during the period it was produced and I dont see them now 6 Years later ! I guess it maybe did go off with a bang but then sales probably went down like the person that mentioned Qibla cola etc....
Have we been eating haraam chocolate all this time?
