These people may only look for faults in you, but as long you balance that out by having other people who only throw you compliments it's all good right?

Compliments are dengerous.

Sometimes they give off the wrong impression and you are naturally more likely to listen to them than the criticism.

With criticism, you can ignore it, or try to see if there is any truth hidden in them.
