As a person who is generally not a fan of Microsoft, I must say that all that looks interesting.

It is a merging of the Windows Phone 7 UI with WIndows proper and could have interesting results.

It looks pretty much like my MotoBlur UI which runs on Android, which in turn is not so unlike other mobile touchscreen UIs, so it seems Microsoft wants to take advantage of Google's stupidity in releasing a global OS based entirely online - close to pointless. At the moment most of us lack the always-on broadband to our computers and phones that would make Google's proposition viable. So if the folder navigation is straightforward this could be a big improvement for Windows and a raspberry at Google.

Incidentally I love my Motorola Dext. The touchscreen interface is far superior to other Android devices (and has Android apps, naturally), the phone is robust (puts my old BlackBerry to shame) and it has a keyboard, something iPhones do not offer. Keyboards are way quicker and more accurate than touchscreens. I have kept an eye on other keyboard phones (including the Motorola Flipout which is a tiny little nonsense) but nothing compares to the Dext.
