SCIENCE OR RELIGION?

Sajid Iqbal

salaam

today those opposed to religion say : religion is bad, evil, backward and science is the way forward?

religion is blamed for everything nowadays...

science is trying to prove religions are not necesssary

this Hamza Yusuf podcast sums it up well:

isnt the best way to have religion and believe in science?
nothing wrong with science
nothing wrong with religion

This seems to be the same old 'Man of Faith, Man of Science' debate...

why cant people believe in both?

Simply because the reasons for things differ depending on the religious or scientific line of thought doesnt necessarily prove either of them one way or the other.

As Ed said the Quran is a book of Science (for reasons which im sure your all aware of ) then why cant Science simply say that they are unable to prove or disprove the things that are mentioned in the Quran and leave it till they can.

Theres two kinds of people in this world: those who stick to one extreme and those who take the middle road.

Science explains how a certain matter is formed but Islam teaches why that certain matter came into existence.
